Customer Reviews of Philips Norelco 6940 Reflex Action Men's Shaving SystemCustomer Review: below average Summary: 2 StarsI am lazy to use a razor. So, I bought this. This does the job on the cheeks. But is not good on the neck. Does not give the closest shave on the neck, making you repeat several times eventually taking as long as it takes for a razor. But not close enough as a razor. Worse, i had redness on my neck both times i used it. Maybe my skin is allergic to its blades or my skin is not used to it. Will not use it for clean shaves. Only for trimming. Not Satisfied.
Customer Review: So Pleased Could Squeek Summary: 5 StarsNever realized my working 25 year old Norelco was so lame until I replaced it. It was fortunate that I left my old one in the summer home at NC; tried the economical model and was tremendously surprised by the comfort and effectiveness ....and quick, too!
Oh, The Lady says I'm squeeky clean now - Yep!
Customer Review: This is the best razor I've ever had Summary: 5 StarsThis is the best razor I've ever had! I've had it since November 3rd and it is working good. It gives me the closest shave I've ever had!
Customer Review: Defective Shaver Summary: 1 StarsI bought this shaver for my Uncle and unfortunately it was a final sale and it is defective. I took a chance and lost my money. I must add that this is the first
time I have purchased from Amazon and have been disappointed.
Customer Review: Great value and if you dont NEED a shaver with a battery, get this Summary: 5 StarsReally like this shaver. Of course the reason it is so cheap is because it was not designed with a battery. It runs off an outlet. But when I was getting it, it occured to me that I never shave anywhere where there isn't an outlet anyway! And the lack of a battery gives several advantages too.
No battery to die on you, which is awesome.
(I have a different Norelco model with a battery that's not great. It shaves well but theres no battery meter of any kind, and if you're about to leave the house and you're shaving last minute and the battery dies (we've all been there before) then you're just screwed. Because that shaver, if the battery dies, will not work EVEN WHEN PLUGGED IN. You have to just wait until it's charged, to use it, which could be hours. Crappy designing on Norelco's part there. They should have made all shavers able to run on the power from the outlet while plugged in)
But this shaver is great, no battery to die or go bad over time.
And it's also more than powerful enough, because it uses power straight from the wall.
It's also very light, because of the lack of a battery.
Shaves well too, on par with other Norelco shavers that cost twice as much. Pretty close shave, comfortable, etc.
I like this shaver a lot. If you do not specifically need a shaver with a battery, get this.
