Customer Review: superior replacement shave head

This replacement shave head for the Phlilps/Norelco Bodygroom shaver is far superior to the one that came with the razor. The original had a rather flimsy foil that warped out of shape with normal use, refused to stay in place on the head and kept popping loose at either end.
The new replacement head is better made: the shave foil itself is of a superior weight and thickness and stays in place within the head. It also has a better array in the shaving 'grid' to do a more thorough - and comfortable job of hair removal.
My only complaint is that the entire head unit doesn't stay on the razor as well as the original did - seems to be a looser fit. It is quite easy to dislodge the head while shaving, or while removing one of the comb attachments.
I still would recommend this product. It's the best I've found for the job, which it does well.

The shaving heads work well while they last. But, they don't really last more than a month or so, whether using them for the body or the scalp, before the foil gets torn by raising up on one side, and then coming into contact with the blades, which rips open the foil, leaving a gaping hole, and rendering it useless.
The bodygroomer, while touted as a groomer for the body, really is also extremely good to do daily up-keep shaves on an already closely-shaved head. It is like using an eraser on your scalp. It works amazingly well, and does it incredibly quickly.
The heads are [...] each plus shipping [...]. Buying three of them basically gets you three months worth of shaving. But it's annoying to have to reorder these frigging foil heads all the time, since they're not available in stores.

When I first bought the philips norelco bodygroom I was ecstatic at how easy it was to use, then the shaver foil broke. I purchased a new one reading reviews that it's even better than the original. I installed it and tried to trim my body hair. I would have to disagree that it was doing a better job than the original foil. It works, but it takes twice as long now as it used to with the original foil. It may just be my hair because it's really course, but the shaver worked fine before I replaced the shaver foil. It's gotten to a point that I rarely use it at all now. Just FYI, this is shaving with a guard on. It works great without a guard on, but not everyone likes to go "bald".Customer Review: Quick, Easy & Inexpensive Results!

I've had the Norelco Bodygroom for 2 or 3 years now, but it's been sitting dormant on a shelf for at least the past year. I needed the replacement trimmer/shaver foil, which for some reason wasn't being carried in stores any longer. When I first checked on line the part was either really expensive or on back order, etc. Eventually I just stopped looking or checked randomly here and there. I was thrilled that Amazon had the replacement, it was in stock, a great deal on the price so I bought 2, and it was just so simple to purchase through them. To top all that, I received my order in 3 days! What results!!! I'm back in business and very neatly groomed once again!

This was delivered pretty quick. I'd been looking for this replacement at all the stores that I could think of and didn't find it. Turned to Amazon and of course they had it ... and at a good price. I read the reviews before purchasing it and quite a few people remarked how much better the replacement was to the original one that came with the Bodygroom, so that's what I was expecting. So, I'm a little disappointed to say that when I got the replacement and tried it out, it was about the same as the original ... no better ... no worse. I didn't get a closer or better shave. Still, I really like using the Bodygroom and getting the replacement at such a good price is great.
