Customer Reviews of Philips Norelco G370 All-in-1 Grooming SystemCustomer Review: You get what you pay for Summary: 3 Stars
I bought the G370 because of the versatility and combination of grooming tools. In the end, I only use the adjustable trimmer. I tried using the nose hair trimmer a couple of times, but the blades are not very good and I live in fear of having to use that thing again. But if you like having your nose hairs yanked out, you may actually like this attachment.
It holds a charge well and lasts several uses before I need to recharge. The trimmer does a good job, but gets clogged with hair and the head must be remove to thoroughly clean it. However, do this enough times and the plastic snap to attach the head wears out. Now, I have to hold the head in place when I'm using it. If I try to adjust the trimmer length, the head pops off...grr!
Do yourself a favor, spend a little more and get a good quality grooming system.
Customer Review: I'd buy it again! Summary: 5 Stars
If asked, "Would you buy this product again if you had it to do all over?" My answer would be "In a heartbeat!"
To begin with I read the instructions. I charged the battery for 10 hours before using and it has run flawlessly for a month without a recharge. You can't just leave this plugged in all the time. Basically, run the battery down and recharge for 10 hours.
The trimmer is light and feels good in my hand. The attachments snap in and out easily and they are washable. The blades are sharp and do not require oiling.
For years I used Wahl trimmers. In fact, I bought one again but when I got it home it didn't work right so I decided to give this one a try. Frankly, there is no comparison. This Norelco is really that much better than any of the Wahl's I've owned over the years.
Customer Review: Lasts less than 6 months Summary: 1 Stars
This trimmer is very disappointing. According to the description, this trimmer is "self-sharpening" and has a full two-year warranty. We have had it for less than 6 months and a few of the blades were dull a few months ago and now it seems that they all are getting ready to go in the garbage. I'll admit, when we first got it, it seemed like a dream come true. I wonder if it is worth buying a new one EVERY 6 MONTHS. We have had trimmers before this that have lasted years and the only reason we got the Norelco is that they BEGAN to be dull after all that time and use. I'm very disappointed that this "SELF-SHARPENING" TRIMMER IS A LIE. We used it regularly maybe once a week. The attachments, when they worked, were wonderful but now it seems that we just have more trash. Back to looking for something that promises quality and delivers.
Customer Review: Better than paying hair cutter costs! Summary: 5 Stars
Over the years when one of these has finally gotten too dull to cut my husband's hair I will buy another of the same. They are a very good price and save us a lot of money on his hair cutting costs. I am no hair cutter, but since he likes his one short length all over it's as simple as can be. I use one attachment to cut and another to trim around the ears and back of the neck.
I will do this every 4 - 6 weeks. When I finish with a hair cut, I leave the cutting attachment in and run it until the battery has died completely. That way when it recharges I will have a full running charge to work with. I think it says it takes 10 hours to recharge and I just do that overnight and unplug and store away until it's needed again.
Hope this helps another who may consider buying this product.
Customer Review: BEWARE! Summary: 2 Stars
It was a little daunting receiving all the attachments to this grooming system. The instructions leave a lot to be desired, and I had to get a magnifying glass (I wear tri-focals) to read some of the instructions and look at the illustrations to assimilate what they meant. Did not feel that they were clear. The first time I used the trimmer, which can be length controlled by a dial, it got stuck on the apparatus it attaches to which is removable so I must use the trimmer in the position that it is dialed. Thank goodness I had dialed it to the length I always use. I am not really excited about the cut it gave or the way the hair looks while growing out. I probably will explore buying another trimmer, and one that does not have all the attachments.
