This is one of my best buys in Amazon.Especially with respect to value.My husband just loves this thing.U will get ur value for money back within 4-8 weeks. He uses this to trim his hair ,beard, side burns ,moustache..All I did was watched his hair dresser at the salon...as they too have similar trimmers..Follow the same routine at home...And U dont have to go to the salon anymore...Ofcourse..if ur new to hair cuts it takes time...but..once u get the hang of it..u can act like a pro ;-)...I wish they had something so effective for women too.Customer Review: Very good for the price

I actually use this for grooming my beard as well as for trimming my very low faded cut hair. I have tried 4-5 other shavers (some much more expensive) and this one works the best for a low cut trim that you can very easily adjust for a gradual height change (fade). My only negative remark would be for the quality from Phillips Norelco. I broke the guide I use most and couldn't get another one. After several attempts at getting a better one from other manufacturers I gave up and bought another....they are that easy to use.Customer Review: Very Poor Quality

I just bought this trimmer this afternoon and while I was trying to attach the beard trimmer, the flat retaining clip and adjustment tab fell out of the attachment. Obviously these attachments are of very poor quality and design but this seems normal nowadays. What a shame that in the year 2007, manufactures cannot do any better than this. I would be ashamed if I designed this peice of garbage.
I am taking this already broke piece of junk back for a refund and will no longer buy their products.

I received this same Norelco set as a gift some years ago and loved it. It comes with a stand and all the trimming accessories a man needs to look neat. Some where in my travels a month or so ago I left the charger in a hotel and needed a new one. The charger sells for about $25 on Norelco's website, whereas I found a whole new set including of course a charger on Amazon for about $17. Now I have a duplicate of all the needed items plus my new charger for less than the manufacturer wants for the charger alone.Customer Review: Works well--don't drop it

It works fine. Does everything you would expect as you would expect. However this is the second one I've had to buy. The first one I bought was replaced due to a slipping guard that forced me to shave my beard after a miscut. The replacement stopped working after I dropped it a short distance. The unit should have survived the fall but it is really cheaply made in China just like everything else etc. etc. Bottomline: The thing is cheap to buy but is crap and I hate to fill up the landfill with crap
