Customer Reviews of Philips Norelco HQ 55 Reflex Replacement HeadsCustomer Review: Razor Blade Screens are cheap and break! Summary: 1 Stars
These blades suck! I went through two sets of these blades within a year because the screen and the blades got jammed and started to rip away at the screen. I would clean the blades on a regular basis. I feel this is a cheaply made product that is not worth the money. The blades (HQ4+) that this model replaced worked a whole lot better and were reliable and never broke like the HQ55. Don't buy this product!
Customer Review: Great work Summary: 5 Stars
Really was surprised at how important a periodic change of blades for an electric razor was. I bought this lower end to use while on coumadin, but must admit it gives a pretty darn good shave in less the time and hassle with foam and Mach 3 razors. I don't know what 12 Mach 3 blades each year cost, but I think this $25 electric razor blade annual purchase beats the cost and the time spent shaving.
Customer Review: Gets the job done- Summary: 3 Stars
I'm sure the HQ55 was 'state of the art' when I first got the shaver, but I've never been convinced it shaves "as close as a blade" as advertised. It is easier on my face; but getting a really close shave can take a while...especially in the neck area. There's probably better stuff out there, but you'll pay dearly for it. It gets the job done, which I guess you really can't ask for any more-
Customer Review: Norelco replacement part Summary: 1 Stars
What a huge mistake!! Talked to a representative at Philips Norelco because I could not find a part for the model I had. After they advised me as to what part I needed and gave me the model number I needed, I ordered it from Amazon. Well, it doesn't even come close to fitting. Needless to say it was a wasted $25. I went out and bought a Braun Electric Razor which I know is better.
Customer Review: Turns Old Shaver Into New Summary: 5 Stars
Changing heads on rotary shavers is necessary about once a year depending on use, but especially if they are used every day. It used to be you could buy a new shaver for a little more than new heads, but no more. Installing the new heads is incredibly simple with one twist of the center retainer. I highly recommend these heads. Replaceing heads just makes good economical sense.
