THis Electric Shaver it is a monster.....4 Years of daily work...and still working fine....I will get the tripleheader Replacement parts and a new battery to have it ready when I need it....this is because I live outside the US (Caracas) and it is difficult to get them down here....

Replacement heads are clearly neccessary. I did find that after a year, I got a superior shave when I replaced the heads. However, it is obnoxious to make this an item that costs upwards of $[...]. We know why they do it: because they can.
It hardly seems as though that Norelco is "giving away the razor to sell the blades" because the razor ain't cheap.
I do recommend the product. You will be getting a clearly substandard shave if you continue to shave with 2 year old heads. I just can't sit back and sing the praises of a $[...] product that ought to go for under $[...] even much less if it were available competitively.

Works very well and makes my Electric shaver (Philishave 6832) feel like new again (shaves closer now that the blades are new). Of course I had not changed the blades since day 1...6 years ago!
Now the only problem is that newer (and better?) Philips shavers were available at about 2.5 times the cost of the replacement blades. So you may hesitate and think you might as well re-buy an entire newer shaver offering new technology and all new everything (not just the blades but battery as well). And that is why I give the product 4 stars and not five: if it were a little more affordable that would make it definitely a no brainer.

What is the use in buying a replacement battery when you can't get the old one out!? I spent $30 on new heads. Then this $25 on new batteries trying to revive the 5 year old Norelco. Heads replaced beautifully. The old battery is soldered in. Can't put in the new ones, so I'll be returning them. We went to Target and bought a new Norelco that would take the replacement heads for $35. I'll not spend more dollars on the upgraded versions again. Just keep buying a new one. And we wonder why we have so much trash. Too many things are made not to last and must be in the landfill way before they should be.Customer Review: Norelco Tripleheader Replacement Heads 6885Xl

Shaving with the Norelco heads has always been smooth and comfortable. No complaints there. The painful part is the high cost of replacing the heads. I recall paying about $20 in Walmart for my first replacement, but now they are $30. I've had the razor, Norelco model 6885Xl, for a very long time. It still works well, despite the covering of the on/off button wearing away and lately I notice the total time after recharging has declined, indicating that the rechargeable batteries may be reaching the end of their lifetime. Time for a new razor at that point and maybe one that requires less expense to maintain.
