I was thinking of buying a Norelco Arctic Razor since my old speedshaver didn't seem to be working as well as it did when it was new, four or five years ago. After reading the reviews on the Arctic Razors and people writing that the speedshaver was as good or better than the new product I decided to get a replacement head for my old speedshaver. It does seem to be an improvement over the old head, and I saved quite a bit of money in the process. It took me a very long time to figure out that these were the replacement heads I needed for my shaver (there are many choices, and none of them matched the model number of the shaver). Also, there are at least two different packages for the HQ9 heads, with different pictures that make it even more confusing. Having said that, and that the price is steep, I noticed a slight improvement in performance when I put in the new blades. My Dad is eldery and unable to shave himself with a regular razor. I bought him an electric razor so he would still have some independence as well as get a good shave. After a while the blades wore out and wasn't shaving him real well. I ordered the replacement blades and the razor was like new again. They were soooo easy to replace I went back and ordered a few more to have on hand when we need them again. Would certainly recommend the razor and OF COURSE THE BLADES!!!!! The Norelco blades came quickly. They fit my razor. Did I get a much better shave. Not sure as my orginal blades were not complety worn out. I do not get as close of shave with a razor versu an electric razor, but it is good enough on most days.
But if you like electric shavers, these replacement blades were just as they promised. And I am now using my eletric shaver almost ever day. It's convenient and fast. But most men probably already knew this information anyway.
