I was apprehensive about changing blades, I'm the normal throw it out and get a new one guy. I was extremely dismayed when I saw the childish diagram for instructions on replacing the blades. I now know why they used such a simple diagram, because it's that easy. Within a minute or so I have the blades replaced. I couldn't believe it, but there it was done and shaving beautifully. Don't hesitate about buying replacement blades, you'll end up with a shaver that's like new.Customer Review: Does a very good job

These replacement heads are very good on my tough beard and sensitive skin. When the heads need replacment, I will order another set. I expect to get 6-12 months of use from the heads. I like a close shave. If I have not shaved for 3 days, it takes 15+ minutes for me to get a close shave. If it's too close, there is a little skin burn. After shaving, I rub in moisturizing skin cream on my face and neck. After a couple of hours, sign of any skin burn is almost gone.Customer Review: Norelco rotary razor replacement heads

Philips Norelco HQ8 Spectra Tripleheader Replacement HeadsAfter about 6 months use, I was getting a very poor shave with what I had always thought was the best electric razor I ever owned. I was about to toss it in the garbage in disgust when I decided to order replacment blades. My kids bought me this shaver for Christmas two years ago. I just had to buy new heads now. It has done a great job. Easy to use, gives a close shave, charge holds for a long time, easy to clean, light weight and good feel to the handle. The floating heads contour well to your face. I hate to see this shaver getting poor ratings, but I suppose if you are used to an older shaver any new shaver would be "Don't make them like they used to!".Customer Review: Makes an old razor perform like new.

Not much to say other than replacing your old, worn out blades can make your Norelco Razor perform like new. Norelco recommends you replace them every year, but I get a good two years out of them before there's a big drop off in performance. Another thing to consider is that if your razor is several years old, the rechargeable battery doesn't last forever, and isn't easily or cheaply replaced. A whole new razor might be a better solution.
