Customer Reviews of Philips Norelco NT9110 Precision Nose and Ear Trimmer

Customer Review: Look no further!
Summary: 5 Stars

For many years now my nose hair has been trying to kill me or at least frustrate me to death. Disgusting, yes. That goes without saying. I tried high end and low end rotary trimmers. They came, they went but they did not satisfactorily work. Sure I had considered the non-rotary models but the fear of cutting the inside of my nose left me sucking my thumb in the fetal position. Then I noticed this Norelco model and thought, I have been happy with there products in past so just maybe this would do the job without sending me to the emergency room. I decided to remove my thumb from my mouth and order. To my utter amazement it works perfectly as well as being safe and cost effective. Fear not Nose sissies!

Customer Review: Good nose and ear trimmer
Summary: 5 Stars

I had one of these and my dog recently chewed it up. So I order a new one from Amazon last week. The shipping was fast and the price was cheaper then the previous one I bought at the store. I have used other nose and ear trimmers which did a good job but pulled the nose hairs which was painful. The way this one is shaped it does not pull the hairs. Its very effective and once you get the hang of it you will enjoy the experience of grooming. There is nothing worse then unwanted nose and ear hairs. It comes with the standard AA battery you need to power it, it also has different accessories which you can put on the trimmer to groom eyebrow or even side burns. I would highly recommend this product.

Customer Review: Finally a nose hair trimmer that doesn't inflict pain! Panacea!
Summary: 5 Stars

My dad noted when I was around 25 that I had the nose hairs of a 50 year old, I'd laugh if it wasn't true. Now half way through my thirties its a real quality of life issue for me to keep those little hairs at bay. I've tried the rotary type trimmer and plucking and this has them beat hands down. There have been some complaints of durability but as well as this thing works for me I'd gladly buy one every few months, especially for the price. Give it a punt, if you've had a hard time with the rotary style trimmers this may been the one you've been waiting for. I will say its a little tricky getting into the tip of the nose but give it a few passes from different angles and you'll get it.

Customer Review: A revolutionary product for trimming
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used many different brands of rotary nose & ear trimmers, all of them frustrating to use because of their inability to trim closely and reach all the hairs. They eventually start pulling hairs instead of trimming and finally loose power. Phillips has revolutionized the trimming process with this new recessed trimmer technology. It's the closest thing to a razor I have found. The trimmer's angled shape helps to reach the hard to reach areas and trim as far back as you need. You can even use pressure to get as close as possible without a cut. I can trim my nose and ears in minutes and not have to touch up with scissors or plucking. Best product out on the market today.

Customer Review: ****YOu guys complaining about breakdowns, LISTEN UP***
Summary: 5 Stars

There are two kinds of users of this product: the ones who love it, the others who experience the trimmer refusing to start. Here is your solution:

a) the problem is that you failed to cleanout the oscillating blades. Somethings' stuck in there, a bugger, probably, jamming the trimmer.

b) THe FIx:
1) use the supplied brush to clean the blades. failing this
2) fill a small glass with water about 1/2 inch so that only the blades are covered. Turn on the unit and put it blade first in the water to soak. The water will soften the gunk and you'll hear the thing start working. Mine took about 90 seconds on the first try.
