This toothbrush gets your teeth clean, and I have noticed that it does better than my previous oral b toothbrush at removing stains. I drink a lot of coffee and at every dental visit my teeth would have a lot of staining.
This doesn't have things like battery indicator levels, and doesn't buzz every 30 seconds like my previous one did making my timing off. However, the price was right compared to the newer more expensive models.

This toothbrush is a great start for electronic toothbrushes. I've actually used the oral B ones before this but those just can't compare. The brush strokes are not nearly as fast as the sonicare brush. I started noticing my teeth becoming whiter as well after 3 weeks of using it and I'm a coffee and heavy tea drinker.
The only downside is the replacement heads are so expensive. That's why the 4 star instead of 5. At the price I got it for, it's definitely a great deal but the replacement heads cost almost as much as the price I paid for the unit in the first place.

I had been hearing lots of good things about the effectiveness of electric toothbrushes, and my dentist recommended getting a Sonicare specifically, so when I saw this on sale, I had to jump on it.
This toothbrush surpassed all my expectations. I had an electric toothbrush at one point when I was a kid, but I stopped using it for some reason, and the improvements between this Sonicare and the one I had 15 years ago are vast. It's much stronger, yet surprisingly gentle on the gums. The reach is excellent.
I've gotten good mileage so far out of the batteries. Like other reviewers say, it's a good idea not to charge after every use and instead only when depleted (NiCd battery). For me, that's about once a week or so.
Overall, I've been very satisfied with my return to an electric toothbrush

Have used the sonicare since 1997 - could not ask for a better product. The older ones are great, the newer models are fantastic. It is worth the cost of purchase. Can't say enough about the virtues of this product.
