Customer Reviews of Philips Sonicare FlexCare Rechargeable Sonic ToothbrushCustomer Review: Squeaky cleen teeth Summary: 4 Stars
My dentist recommended this toothbrush so I purchased it about a year ago. So far I've had no problems with the day to day functionality of the toothbrush, and I like that it has several brushing cycles to choose from. I especially like the "Go Care" brushing cycle for mornings or for when I'm short on time. Though the length of this cycle is shorter, it still leaves my teeth feeling really clean.
The reason I'm not giving the toothbrush 5 stars is because, although it's slim, easy to hold, and easy to brush with, the placement of the main control button on the brush could be better. The button is unfortunately located right where you tend to hold the brush when brushing your teeth, so I have occasionally accidentally turned the brush off mid-cycle. Phillips must have anticipated this tendency because if you accidentally turn the brush off mid-cycle and then you immediately turn the brush back on, the brushing cycle picks up right where it left off.
The toothbrush comes with a pedestal (which is also the charger)and two pegs to hold extra toothbrush heads. I have found that unless you completely dry off your toothbrush, a ring will form on the pedestal in the spot where your toothbrush sits. I've also noticed that grime can accumulate in the crease of the rubber base of the toothbrush. I'm kind of a neat freak so this annoys me, but it's pretty minimal and you may not even notice.
Overall, the Sonicare FlexCare is an efficient and effective toothbrush that keeps my teeth squeaky clean.

After using manual toothbrushes my entire life, I finally decided to give the electronic version a try, starting with the Phillips Sonicare FlexCare R910. All I can say is "wow". I mean, this has to be the ultimate toothbrush. After using it just once I felt like I just walked out of the dentist's office.
I had a tendency to brush too hard, which often resulted in torn gums. The Sonicare FlexCare brush takes care of that, and even offers a separate sensitive setting for tender gums in addition to the basic and massage settings. The brush also features a "newbie" program that gradually introduces new users (like me) to the brush's intense cleaning regimen.
The unit comes with a charging station (with a sturdy cover for home use), travel pouch, one brush head, and three colored rings that can be used to identify different brush heads. I love the idea of using different color-coded brush heads so that my wife and I can use the same FlexCare base unit. Another perk is that the battery charge lasts about two weeks, which means that even though the charger is compact, you don't even need to bring it with you on trips.
Suffice to say I'm never going back to manual toothbrushes. The Sonicare FlexCare has made a believer out of me.

My wife and I have been using the Philips Sonicare Rechargeable Toothbrushes for several months. My wife has been using the model sans UV Sanitizer and has been pretty happy with it. The rechargeable base is interchangeable with the higher end model (which includes the Sanitizer), allowing my wife and I to share a unit (and give us more bathroom counter space). This particular model offers the same three modes of brushing that the higher model does. Initial setup involves plugging the base unit into an AC outlet and letting the brush charge.
The toothbrush easily fits into its charging unit, and does a thorough job in cleaning our teeth and gums, especially in harder to reach places. The three modes are easy on sensitive teeth, and apply enough pressure to clean the gums without causing them to erode. The unit itself is easy to clean and maintain, and appears to be well thought out in terms of both holding the toothbrush, as well as placement of the mode buttons.
It is important to note that brush refills are on the expensive side, but, from our experience, the brushes themselves appear to last longer than conventional toothbrushes do. We very much like our Philips Sonicare toothbrushes and would recommend them to others wholeheartedly.

I didn't think that this toothbrush would be much different than the less expensive ones you can get over the counter now. Boy was I wrong.
This does an amazing clean job! My teeth, gums and tongue feel cleaner, longer through the day since I've started using it.
Besides the great job it does cleaning, there are a number of good points about it. First, it doesn't take up much space, which is a big plus. Second, it is very elegant looking, attractive. It charges in about 4 hours, which really isn't too long. A travel case comes with it, which is perfect to take with you instead of traditional toothbrushes.
The brush end appears to be delicate, but it is actually pretty strong. If you happen to press too hard while you're brushing, it stops. That is a big plus so you don't do damage to your teeth or enamel.
The vibrations this thing sends out as it's working feel like a wonderful massage to your mouth. I have to say, that's my second favorite thing about this. You don't get that feeling with the others.
But it's the cleaning job that has sold me. I've brushed my teeth at bedtime and woke up with a clean mouth! Amazing.
I strongly recommend this to everyone. It is more expensive, but well worth the investment.
Customer Review: Sonicare Rocks! Summary: 5 Stars
I used to think that any power toothbrush would be as good as the next. Then I used the Sonicare and it has blown away all expectations and completely transformed my impression about electric toothbrushes.
Using this toothbrush has given me an unbelievably long lasting clean taste. It probably gets everything you're going after when you brush.
It has a quick brush setting and a longer mode for a thorough scrubbing with a timer to remind you to switch to different areas of the mouth. That's an invaluable feature!
Pros:
1. I liked the step-up power cycle feature which increases the intensity of the vibrations gradually over the first 14 brush cycles and hits peak only once you've had the chance to use it for a week to two (depending upon how many times you brush daily).
2. The brush is ergonomically designed to be easy to a) Hold b) Brush c) clean d) carry in travel pouch
3. Gum Massage feature: Lower frequency vibrations help.
4. You can wrap the excess length of the power cord in the base and hide it from view.
5. I have not replaced the brush on its base for about 3 weeks now and it is still running on half charge. This thing has an amazing battery life!
Cons:
1. Hmmm...let's see. None!
They designed this one really well and I'd be interested in knowing how they plan to improve upon this. Maybe send someone home to brush your teeth for you.
