Customer Reviews of Philips Sonicare HX6013/90 ProResults Brush Head Standard, 3-Pack

Customer Review: Great Overall Brush except for One Thing...
Summary: 4 Stars

I found these brushes to be a big step up from the previous Sonicare brushes. These ones are also less expensive, which is a big plus too. The only one thing that I have a problem with is the blue indicator strip that is "supposed" to let you know more-or-less when it's time to change your brush head. I don't know if it's only me but I find that the blue strip of bristles fade to white pretty darn fast. I just changed my brush for the second time since I got my new Flexcare toothbrush about five months ago. I'm only a month into the new brush head and it already went from blue to white indicating it's time to replace it. I can tell you that I don't brush hard and I do the two-minute 'Clean' mode twice a day.

So, based on my observations this particular added feature to the ProResults brush heads are inaccurate and would not recommend going by this to decide when it's time to change heads. I also noticed that this blue indicator strip feature is not mentioned anywhere on the packaging or listed in the 'product features' on this Amazon page. I find that a bit surprising.

UPDATE: I was just thinking that maybe the reason for this may be from placing my brush head in the UV Sanitizer to be cleaned after every brushing, which is twice a day. Do you think the UV rays may be causing the blue indicator strip to fade away that much faster? ...I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem as well.

Customer Review: Superior to the old style brush heads, and Cheaper Too!
Summary: 5 Stars

These new heads, which fit ONLY the new Flexcare and ProResults models of brushes, are superior to the old Elite style brush heads in several ways. The standard head remains the same size and shape as the old heads, but adds the following:

1. No more old toothpaste/mildew/mold/germs collecting in the base of the brush head! By far the most unpleasant aspect of the old Sonicare brushes, this problem is gone with the smaller, simple to rinse off ProResults heads.

2. New "indicator" bristles let you know when it's time to change. A common feature in manual brushes, it's nice to see this on a Sonicare brush head.

3. Less waste - there is less bulk to the new ProResults heads, meaning much less waste and more environmental benefit. The metal content has been reduced as well, making these heads about even or even better than regular manual brushes in environmental impact.

4. Best of all, the new models are actually CHEAPER than the old models. You get a 3 pack of brush heads for what 2 of the old brush heads costs. They're still more expensive than manual brushes, but its worth the price for the superior brushing experience.

Overall the new brush head system is great - just make sure it fits your handle. You need a Flexcare or ProResults Sonicare handle to use these brush heads (sorry elite and essence users!).

Customer Review: Sonicare Replacement Brush Heads
Summary: 5 Stars

I had gotten the Sonicare Pro Results Flexcare electric toothbrush as a gift, for a review I did on the product. I never had an electric toothbrush before, because of the expense, but now I'd never do without it.

The brush heads are alittle pricey, since you are supposed to change them every 3 months, but they are worth it from Amazon, with the free shipping. I definitely see a difference in how white my teeth are.

I would also sign up for Sonicare's newsletter, as I have gotten one free brush head,if you buy a multi-pack, as well as a $5.00 rebate for buying a multi-pack. That helps offset the price you pay for the brush heads.

I also think you get a better deal on the multi-pack versus if you only buy one brush head at a time. I checked at Walmart too, who carries the multi-pack, but the price there was higher than the price through Amazon.com.

I think buying the brush heads in a multi-pack are well worth it. I've bought the standard brush heads, now Iam trying the compact brush heads, to see which ones I like better. When I bought the compact ones through Amazon, they were the same price as the standard ones. Find the ones that work for you.
