Customer Reviews of Philips Sonicare HX6932/10 FlexCare RS930 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush

Customer Review: Nice toothbrush if used correctly, but heads hard to find, no head warranty
Summary: 4 Stars

To start: I was very unhappy with this brush for the first year I owned it, until I saw my dental professionals and they changed the way I brush. Totally my mistake, but I was moving the head around way too quickly, and as a result, my dentist says the "sonic" effect was not working. When I changed how I brushed, the results were night and day better.

Pros:
* gets very clean if used correctly,
* sanitizer,
* looks good,
* charge indicator,
* brush lasts a long time after recharging and charges quickly

Cons:
* heads hard to find, and it is confusing which head you want (customer service says they should say "Pro Results" on them, but many websites show a pic with Sonicare on them (with matching model #),
* two heads have been defective and they replaced the first but claim that there is no warranty on the heads!!!! Ridiculous for a $200 product
* battery in handle not replaceable

Caution:
* Must hold the brush on each tooth for an extended period of time (have to brush this way to get really clean)

I brush the full two minutes and hold the brush on my tooth at the gumline... I have also watched videos online about this. It's different, but it works very well and my most recent checkups have been much better. Maybe I should have known better, but I didn't. :)

The santizer is nice, very easy to use, and gives some confidence you're keeping your brush head clean. The indicator lights are very straighforward (slow blink still santizing, fast blink done).

All in all, highly recommend the Sonicare Flexcare 9630.

Customer Review: Amazingly clean teeth!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I've been using the Rotodent for the past 5 years. You can only get it from your dentist office and I've been fairly happy with it but it's the only electric toothbrush I've ever used so I've had nothing to compare it with. The one problem I've had with the Rotodent is that because the brush is so small and round I was getting some staining on the surface of my teeth and had to alternate using the RD with a regular toothbrush, so since my Rotodent was wearing out I was very interested to try another brand.

I was excited to try the Sonic to see if I could avoid having to use two different brushes and especially because of the UV sanitizer which the Rotodent doesn't have and is a wonderful addition. I love being sure that my toothbrush is clean!

My first experience was a bit startling. On the regular setting the brush has a bit of a high pitched whine so since then, I've used the 'sensitive' teeth setting and that works just great. There are two different brush heads, a regular size and a smaller size one. The toothbrush also comes with a travel charger and a travel bag which makes it super easy to take with you on vacation or on work trips.

I have to say that my teeth feel cleaner then they ever have after I get done brushing with the Sonic (other than when the dentist cleans them), so if you're looking for clean and healthy teeth and gums this is a great choice.

Customer Review: BYE BYE SENSITIVE TEETH!!! FINALLY :)))))))))

Once I was young and foolish too like many of u out there. Then, came the DENTIST. Oh NO:(((( But, I am glad that I went to the dentist and she suggested the Sonicare. I wanted to try it the 1st time she recommended. But boy was I lucky, they didnt have any at that time in their office. So, I waited and finally I was blessed with this great Sonicare Flexcare. I have been so impressed and thankful, coz for almost 2-3 years I had been suffering with sensitive teeth, only people who has it will understand my feeling; and now I am almost free of sensitive teeth becoz of this little Giant Flexcare. Thanx to its different settings I dont even feel any noise while I brush like some does. It's not that noisy. But, everyone has there own sense of perception.

Only thing I dont like about this is that when I tried to change the brushheads I noticed little chalk collection underneath the colored ring it came with and so I had to remove it. I dont know if they have done something about this or not, but I didnt have fun removing the collection . But other than that I really like this flexcare. and I even loved the idea of UV Sanitizer which I at first thought was stupid idea. But after using it for a while now, I think it was worth price.

and the best thing about this, u can buy this toothbrush from ur dentist's office w/rebate for around 100 bucks. its not a bad deal at all i guess for the toothbrush with uv sanitizer, which alone sells for around 50 bucks i guess.

so i would recommend it to anyone wishing to switch to electric toothbrush from manual ones.

Bye Bye Sensitive Teeth.

Customer Review: 2 Upgrades from My Wishlist from Philips Sonicare
Summary: 5 Stars

Awesome! Since Optiva created Sonicare, I have bought their toothbrushes. Nothing comes close in competition. My complaint with the original Sonicare was that the brush head was too cumbersome, and viola! Sonicare Elite does away with that complaint. Then, I found that garbage tends to collect in the toothbrush heads and handle base, which bothered me a lot. I was also actively trying to buy a UV sanitizer for my toothbrush after hearing that toothbrush heads collect particles from human feces (which makes sense). So I bought the Ultreo ~ the same people who founded Optiva. Well, as soon as I got to use the Sonicare Flexcare, I immediately purchased it and returned the Ultreo.

Wow! This toothbrush delivers 2 items on my oral healthcare wishlist in one fell swoop. Bravo! Philips! I am impressed that a corporation the size of Philips actually listened to its customers. I am thoroghly impressed. No more gunk collecting inside my toothbrush and I can rest easy now that my brush heads are UV sanitized! I would spend $300 for this gadget. Also, it is fantastic that this has some useful programs ~ unlike its predecessors, which left you with like gentle and hard brushing (totally useless, in my humble opinion). Really great improvement over previous models. I suppose the next revision of the Sonicare toothbrush will be an ultra-sonic model?!? I can't imagine anything more for a toothbrush ... the next step would have to be a toothbrush that flosses and scraps your tongue for you, along with brushing.

Anyway, pay for this gadget! This is awesome! Thanks Philips!

Customer Review: Disappointed
Summary: 3 Stars

I've used several Sonicare toothbrushes in the past and feel like they are the reason I've such healthy gums. As a physician I'm very aware that healthy gums are one of the most important things for HEART health, too! So I really have valued my Sonicare brushes. And at the age of 58 I have perfect gums and perfect heart health, inspite of being overweight and sedentary.

However, I'm very disappointed in this new model. First off the brush head is really small. I cannot believe the difference in the amount of gunk that remains between my teeth after using the unit the full cleaning program. I've actually gone through several cycles and the trash remains. If I look in my makeup mirror I can actually see it! Now don't you think two full cycles with a Sonicare should get that out??? I guarantee my old one would have.

So, I have to floss more diligently than I have in years now. It seems to me that this unit cleans tooth surfaces just fine, but that is not what I use an electric toothbrush for. I want the gum stimulation, which is adequate by virtue of the sonic vibration--you don't need that silly "massage" setting. And I want really excellent crud removal from between teeth, which I find inadequate with this unit.

As to the brush sanitizer: I figure if that nasty sludge that used to build up in the handle of my old Sonicare didn't kill me, surely I don't need an infrared cleaner for the brush head! Perhaps if I had gum disease, or some disease spread by oral contamination, I'd think it was a good idea, but frankly? I think it's unnecessary.
