I purchased this item while on the road for a conference looking to use it for music and not disturb the person I was sharing a hotel room with. I got the package, started my music and hear it relativity well. I was excited, slipped the speaker under the pillow and BAM, no sound. I couldn't hear a thing. I really pressed my ear into the pillow and was able to hear a little bit of the music, but a regular position lying in the bed produced nothing I could hear. I've already sent this back an gotten a refund, save your money!Customer Review: I love it!

I purchased a "pillow speaker" a couple of weeks ago and it was terrible. It was one mono speaker attached to a 3/4" jack and would not get loud enough to hear throug my pillow. This pillowsonic stereo speaker however is much better! It's stereo for one and way loud enough also. To be realistic though, the sound is somewhat muffled. The way to get around this is to set your equilizer, if you have one, with higher mids and lower the bass. I use the "bass reducer" setting on iTunes and it sounds great!Customer Review: faulty wiring

Loved this product at first but after a few months of gentle use, the sound cut in and out continuously. Pretty much unusuable. I opened up the pillow and discovered that the plastic coating that covers the wire to the actual speaker was worn away and the wire was getting thin-barely attached. Would cut in and out if moved even slightly. Looked like very cheap construction. Would not buy this product again. I was very careful with it at all times. These speakers were great but after about 6 months the sound was so distorted I can not even make out the words being said in a movie from one of the two speakers. It is about year after I bought this item and the second speaker is starting to go. Given the cost and assortment of competitors, I just feel liked the company jipped me on the quality to make an extra few pennies. Plus I just don't like the idea of adding one of these guys to the landfill every year.Customer Review: Great Idea

I listen to a relaxation CD while in bed and have not liked doing so while using headphones. The reason being that they are uncomfortable if one falls asleep while listening. Also, the sound in the rest of the house is blocked out. The Pillowsonic Pillow Speaker is the perfect solution. I have a very thick pillow and I can hear the music very well and the speaking also well with the volume up high. The person in bed next to me can hear nothing. A+ item.
