I am undergoing chemotherapy and I needed a sturdy stand for my long-haired wig (the wig is about 6 inches past my shoulders). After looking at styrofoam head wig holders, I decided they may not be tall or sturdy enough to hold my wig and so I purchased this one after doing some research. I'm very happy with my purchase. The wig stand is made of plastic but it is much sturdier than it would seem to be. It holds my wig just fine with no risk of tipping over at all. The top of the stand is smaller than the average head but it still helps the wig hold its shape with no problem. It is a little shorter than I needed for the length of the wig but that isn't a major problem. It was a cinch to put together and was shipped very quickly. Overall I think this is a great buy for the money.
