Customer Reviews of Posture-Rite Lap DeskCustomer Review: Posture-Rite Lap Desk Summary: 3 Stars
For the most part I really like it, however it would be a better product if there was a trough to keep writing impliments, and the ability to increase the back end to make an angle. As a person who is disabled, it has been my experience that it is too low to use in anyway, unless I prop it up on something else (my lap isn't big enough to hold all of this) The whole idea of something like this on your lap is to promote easy use, I for one can't read anything I put on it without cranning my neck since it is flat. Most reading is done with the paper or book at an angle usually 45 degrees.
(Even the picture of it is at approx. 45 degree angle).
Customer Review: Posture Rite Lap Desk Summary: 2 Stars
This lap desk was a dissappointment. I do not recommend it. The cushion was filled with styrofoam and the desk surface was styrofoam covered with tan plastic. The pencil rest was glued on and you can see the dried glue oozing out. A very cheap product that I would not recommend. I went to Office Max and purchased a much better constructed lap desk with real wood surface and gel cushion for not that much more that your lap desk. Posture-Rite Lap Desk
Customer Review: Fine for papers, NOT for computer Summary: 2 Stars
Have had this a little over a year. It was fine at first, but after a couple months, the top began to warp from either the weight or heat from a laptop computer, for which it was purchased. It's now so warped, that I had to add large rubber feet to the laptop computer, as the warped desk top plastic was blocking the air vents for the computer.
Recommended only for papers, but definitely NOT for a computer due to the thin plastic top which will not hold its shape.
Customer Review: Slippery but worth it Summary: 4 Stars
Good size, fits my largish size notebook computer; comfortable; light. I like the pencil clip along one edge because it helps pencils stay there. Rugged cloth and stitching so the stuffing (beads) stay inside (a competing product routinely sprung leaks and ended up getting replaced with the Posture-Rite).
Downsides: very slick top - so I use one a light rubber mat on top so my notebook doesn't slide off.
Customer Review: Not bad... Summary: 4 Stars
Its not high quality but it does the job. its made of lightweight plastic and seems like it could break easily, but if your using it for a laptop or schoolwork it beats having to use your lap. Its also has a raised tab at the bottom to keep stuff from sliding off, if your labtop doesn't have rubber cushions on the bottom of it it could slide off the smooth surface of the table. For the price its not bad.
