Customer Reviews of Precision Clean Oral-B Vitality Rechargeable Electric ToothbrushCustomer Review: Polished every day! Summary: 5 Stars
My family has several different Oral B electric toothbrush models. All give us that just polished feeling that one gets at the dentist! I prefer the models that have the 2 min auto timer, as it encourages spending that extra time to get all surfaces clean. The electric unit and timer are particularly useful for young children and older folks who may be suffering with limited hand dexterity due to arthritis and sore joints. I have given up manual toothbrushes forever and even take the Oral B when I travel. A full charge will easily last a week.
I have noticed the children have fewer new cavities when they use their electric Oral B. It also promotes healthy gums. Although we were able to share one base unit with our own individual brush heads at home, each child was sent away to college with a new electric Oral B to maintain that dentist visit polish every day!
Of course the unit and brush heads cost more than a manual brush, but for sparkling teeth, fewer cavities, healthy gums, fresher breath--a real bargain!
Customer Review: I like it! Summary: 4 Stars
I really like this product. If you're not used to using an electonic toothbush then it can take some getting used to. At first it felt a bit rough on my teeth and gums but afer about the third use I really started to appreciate how clean my mouth felt. This toothbrush seems to do a real good job and a very reasonable price. I can't tell you how it compares to the expensive powered toothbrushes but I can tell you that, in my opinion, it beats the heck out of manual brushing. The main reason I say this is because there are times when I wake up and I'm really sleepy and spend two minutes with the toothbrush without making much of a difference At least with this brush even if your sleepy and barely paying attention, your mouth will still get a proper brushing. The only things that I thought would be nice accessories to this toothbrush are
1.) a longer cord (it's only about 3 ft long)
2.) something to cover the brush with just in case it falls over and to make it easier to travel with (Of course you can always improvise)
Customer Review: Great "Special Needs" toothbrush Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter is 10 years old, and unable to brush her own teeth. We'd been struggling to brush her teeth using a manual tooth brush, and found that approach inadequate. We'd tried a Sonicare previously, but found the larger angled head difficult to use, and the vibration was so intense it would freak her out sometimes.
I selected this particular model because the head was small and rounded, making it seem a more comfortable option for my daughter. The results have been fabulous. Her mouth is far cleaner than before. Teeth appear a bit lighter, breath is much fresher, and she initiates tooth brushing every morning, which is new. For us this has been an excellent purchase. Had I known how much this simple change would change our dental routine, I'd have made it much earlier.
If you are responsible for another person's tooth care, I recommend this brush. The small rounded head is easier to negotiate, and more comfortable. The price makes it a safe gamble, and the functionality is excellent.
Customer Review: Indistinguishable from more expensive models Summary: 5 Stars
I originally purchased the far more expensive Braun/OralB Triumph toothbrush which is the top of the line model for around $100 from a local store. After taking it home, I realized that most of the advanced features such as the wireless LCD screen were kind of gimmicky. I returned it and based on the reviews here, purchased this Vitality model for around a sixth of the price. After using it, I noticed that there is absolutely no difference in the toothbrush mechanism and I am positive that both this and the much more expensive Triumph model give the exact same results. The only downsides i noticed were that this model lacks a charging indicator and it uses the slightly older NiCad battery tech. Also, if you travel internationally and need a multiple voltage charger, you may want to spring for the more expensive model because this one doesn't have that capability. For me, this wasn't an issue and with the money saved, I could probably stockpile enough replacement brush heads to last me a loooong time.
Customer Review: Great deal for Electric brush Summary: 5 Stars
I've used this brush for about a year now at my dentists recommendation. She said that I was missing some hard to reach areas in the back of my mouth (near the wisdom teeth) where a manual brush is pretty insufficient. She said you can find very inexpensive electric brushes and mentioned that Oral-B had a great solution.
As a young man who has commonly had cavity's filled nearly every 6 months, after purchasing this, six months later I had the first cleaning I can remember for probably the last 6-7 years with no issues!
I've replaced the brush a few weeks ago and as with most of these you can find generic replacement heads that work fine for half the price.
I highly recommend this brush. I get a good 4-5 brushes between charges and it does the job. I'm not sure what else a brush can do that's 2-5 times the price but until they learn to floss for me too, this seams to suffice perfectly fine.
Highly recommended!
