Customer Review: BEST ACNE WASH OUT THERE - PERIOD. NOT A FAKE PRODUCT

Just to clear things up, this is the REAL DEAL, it is not a fake product as per one of the other reviews. You can go on [...] right now and see this wash being sold there for more money than here (2 8 oz. bottles) - I used to buy it from them, but will happily buy it here from Amazon now that I know they sell it too. This is indeed made with salicylic acid, NOT benzoyl peroxide like their other facial cleansers by ProActive. They are TWO DIFFERENT products, this is NOT a fake product or a knock off like the other review said. I have been using this for years, and it is the ONLY product that keeps my face clean and blemish free. No other product does that for me, including the entire ProActive line that is different than this wash. I have been through 3 different Isotretinoin treatments for severe acne, numerous antibiotics, numerous facial cremes and washes given to me by my dermatologist, and nothing has worked except for the Isotretinoin and this wonderful wonderful wash by ProActive (by the way, salicylic acid in the 2% strength is COMMONLY used by dermatologists to help clear acne up - which this product thankfully has! You don't even have to go see a dermatologist like I originally did to get a product with that particular strength of salicylic acid). I'm 30 years old too, have had acne since I was 13. Proaciv is a highly effective acne treatment brand but, here's the catch - you have to keep at it. Firstly, it takes a few weeks before you see significant results. This is the case for any acne treatment product really - you just HAVE to be consistent and give it time. So, folks looking for a quick solution to their problem (i.e. - clearing up your skin in time for prom or a wedding, for example) will be disappointed.
Secondly, it is not a magic potion capable of "curing" acne. Once you stop using the product, your acne will return unless you take active steps to maintain the health of your skin. It is often believed that merely using a product can be the only change made to help your skin. Clear skin is about more than just using the right brands.... having clear skin is about understanding skin.
Overall, I'd say use this product if you can afford to consistently buy it. If you can't, understand the ways to help keep your skin healthy since, if you don't take those steps, it is HIGHLY likely be disappointed once you stop using Proactiv.
Side note: Do use all three components of the set if you can. Since it was formulated to work as a set, it is better to use it that way in the end.

This is NOT proactiv.
I repeat - NOT PROACTIV
This is a cheap Chinese rip off. It contains nothing that is in the original...the active ingredients are even different. Proactive uses medical-grade benzoyl-peroxide in all their products, including their cleanser. They use only top-notch. This...knock off is formulated with salicylic acid, a different commercial acne fighting ingredient.
The smell is different, the texture is different...they are not the same. This seller just slapped the name "Proactiv" on this bottle hoping they could sell their cheap acne treatment under a reputable name. The bottle wasn't even sealed! It came loose in the package with it's little pump attachment!
There is no way I would use this on my skin. No way.
I do, however, LOVE the original proactiv. That's probably what was so irritating about this.

Have been using Proactive for a while now, although I've never had acne like a lot of the people who've bought it, but I did get body acne and I've gone through millions of products for it and have only found one by Anna Sui which they stopped selling unfortunately. So I gave up for the longest and decide to finally try again, and by this time my back was scared so badly from the pimples, so I would say about a week and a half after I started using this I started to see and feel the difference in my skin, and now moths later my back is absolutely clear and smooth, all I have to do now is get rid of the scars. But I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has body acne.

I am considering purchasing this product. I have used the Proactiv Solution Deep Cleansing Wash in the smaller bottle that I usually buy at the mall from a Proactiv kiosk.
There is a review on this website that says this product is not authentic Proactiv solution and is actually a chinese knock off. Is there anyway to verify that this seller is selling the REAL Proactiv? I am strongly against chinese knockoffs and I want to be sure I know what I am rubbing on my skin. Real proactiv solutions are very reputable and effective but this is fake from china, it can be full of harmful chemicals. Please reply. Thanks.
