This is a necessity for the humidifiers we have in our children's bedrooms. The filters can be difficult to find, so I am glad that Amazon carries them. We use the humidifiers every night and, even with cleaning the tank and using fresh water daily, the filters don't last long before mold appears (just a couple of weeks). I guess they're only supposed to last a month, but I wish they could last longer. I have tried using the humidifers without the filters, but they don't work as well.Customer Review: Filters don't last very long

We used these in our Vicks 1 Gallon Cool-Mist Humidifer, and each time I replaced the filter it would only last 2-3 weeks. These filters are a little pricey, so the maintenance cost for the humidifier quickly added up.
We kept the humidifier running 24 hours a day in my sons nursery so that it was always on and ready to go when he went down for naps and bedtime. Maybe if you didn't run the humidifer for such long periods the filters would last longer.

Fliters came in within 5 days after I ordered it. It fits well with my humidifier that I used almost 24 hours/day. Not sure why it seems that the filter turns into a "rusty" color, ~ in 3 weeks. The one I had before, which normally last longer, in months.
It could be the humidifier itself since I already had it for two years. If I need to continue to change it every 3 weeks, it may be cheaper to buy a new humifier.

It is a filter and it does fit my model. I got these at a really great price from Amazon when they were having a sale around Spring time. We usually have to replace our filters often in the winter, so I like to have extras hanging around.
If these will fit your humidifier, go ahead and buy them. I don't know if they really last longer than regular filters, but they are a necessity in the long winter months.

I ordered this product Wednesday night and it came to me by Friday morning. It was the quickest shipment I've ever received. I had standard delivery and at wasn't too happy that it was not part of Amazon's $25 Free shipping policy but the fact that it arrived so fast made up for it.
Filter-wise, this one does a good job for my humidifier. Soaking in vinegar helps prolong the life of the filter.
