these filters are easy to see and change. They tear easily when wet, so you have to be careful replacing the water container each time, however, that's probably feedback better for the humidifier than the filter. I used to be able to find these at general retailers, however, the ones in my area stopped carrying the model I needed. The ones ordered from Amazon shipped fast! This filter is much better than the one that came with the humidifier. It is reinforced with an aluminum mesh that keeps it more rigid and easier to clean, however it is still made out of a paper product. This product was much better than my original humidifier filter. It was stronger (with metal mesh) and so far there have been no problems with the humidifier-the water keeps going down, as it is supposed to. Buying a pack of 3 made the price per filter very reasonable.Customer Review: never buy kas

I bought both KAS (Vicks) humidifiers V745A and rwm-975n and they both had the same problem. THEY LEAK WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR! One leaks from the cap, the other leaks no matter how you mount the water tank. A coincidence? No, KAS makes horrible humidifiers.

I'm tired of replacing filters every few weeks. They've created great, long-lasting machines and wind up nicking you for a few dollars every few weeks with filters. What a racket. Filter works fine. It's o.k. to buy. The whining about the price is free! :)
