I'm getting up in years, so the aches and pains are multiplying. Paraffin baths are excellent for creaky hands. Just dip your hands until you have a nice thick glove (I like about 12 layers), put on the plastic mitt and then the terrycloth mitt, then go park somewhere for 15 minutes. I use it 2-3 times per week and it really makes a difference. The fast-heat setting is great, it's ready in about 90 minutes.
The paraffin is a good moisturizer so you get a double benefit. It's large enough for my feet, but I think if I ever want to wax my feet I'm going to get a separate unit.
Plain old paraffin from the grocery store works fine. I like the lavender-scented blocks that come with it.

This product works exactly as advertised. Great price and comes with everything you need to give yourself a wonderful spa treatment at home. Although I haven't tried many other similar products, I have to assume it is one of the best ones on the market because it works so well. In fact, it was recommended to me by my hand physical therapist and she knows her stuff. It does take about 90 minutes to heat up the wax entirely, but that's exactly how long the instructions say it takes. And that's not a problem because I just turn it on and do other things until it's ready, and I'm ready to treat myself to the pampering. I was reccomended parafin wax dips by my doctor for my sore hands/wrists. I've only had this for a short time, but my experience so far has been good. My hands get really dry during the winter months, and no amount of lotion seems to help. Using a thick lotion before dipping into the wax had an immediate and lasting effect. The hot wax does act like a heating pad and helps the soreness problem in the short term. I'm hoping that regular use will help with the pain for longer periods also.
This particular bath fits my hands or feet, but without much room to spare. If you have larger than a size 8 foot, you may want something a little bigger.

This is a terrific product, especailly given the price. If you've priced compared you now know that this is the cheapest paraffin bath out there. I have had multiple paraffin treatments done at salons and the cost of this covers two treatments at my local salon. I have slightly poor circulation so when my hands and feet get cold nothing warms them up better than this bath. The mitts are an extra nice touch. It isn't the deepest bath, but length and width or more than suitable for an average size hand and foot. It comes with paraffin wax, but it is unscented, so if you are all about the smell buy some extra wax with the smell you love.Customer Review: Helps my arthritis

This is the second paraffin bath appliance I have bought; the other was a Hometic, which was less expensive, but not nearly as nice. the Revlon model is larger and has a shield in the bottom to prevent burning the hand that's being immersed. this model came with a packet of plastic wraps to put on my hand after immersing, and nice little mitts to put on over the plastic. I had made my own for the Hometic. Also, the Hometic did not have as complete controls, and it died after one year of use. I am very happy with the Revlon model, and feel that hot paraffin soaks really does help arthritis in my hands.
