Customer Reviews of Rainshow'r Series 3000 Crystal Ball for the BathCustomer Review: Rainshow'r Crystal Ball Bath 3000 Summary: 4 Stars
The filter works well as far as eliminating chlorine. My husband's allergic to chlorine, and he said this made the water much more pleasant (less irritating than it normally is with all the chlorine). The "refillable" water filter isn't really. The refill part is what's actually being used. The outer plastic part is pretty worthless; the bottom part came off and won't go back on and it's only been used a few times. So, I don't think there's actually an advantage to getting the refillable one versus getting one that can't be refilled. The one I bought claimed it came with an extra refill, but it's just the one filter. I would recommend the filter, but if you can get a nonrefillable one or just the refill part cheaper, they would work just as well.
Customer Review: Better than nothing Summary: 3 Stars
I've been using this product for almost a month and it does help make the water softer and less irritating for my children. You have to swirl it around the water for a while to get the full benefit. My kids like to play in the water while the faucet is on and if I want to use the ball then I have to fill the tub and swirl the ball before they can get in. I do notice that if I don't use the ball according to the directions they get itchy in the tub and want to get out right away. I bought a showerhead filter at the same time as this ball for my bathroom shower and I love it. I plan to buy a showerhead filter for the children as well because I feel it works better than the ball. We have a handheld showerhead in their bathroom as well.
Customer Review: Doesn't remove chlorine Summary: 1 Stars
DO not buy this. It doesn't work. I wasn't noticing any differences in my skin and decided to buy a pool chlorine test kit ($10) to see if it was actually removing the chlorine. It wasn't!! Tested water both before and after the ball had been in the water for 30 minutes and pulled it around numerous times. Before the test my tap water chlorine was at a level 4 and after using the filter for 30 minutes it was at a level 3. It should have been at a level ZERO. I wouldn't have believed it had I not done the chlorine test myself. Tested the filter on my water purifier after that and luckily that showed up with zero chlorine. Crummy way to waste $30. And we bought three of them. =(
Customer Review: Save Your Skin by Getting Rid of Chemicals in the Water Summary: 5 Stars
Since I bought a shower filter to save my hair from being dried out (it worked wonders, my hair has never been shinier)and I have very hard water - I began to worry about bathing in the unfiltered water from the faucet. I chose this bath water filter because instead of hanging over the faucet you simply drop it into the tub for five minutes before getting in. This way, the water pressure stays strong enough so my bubble bath really bubbles. This filter is not refillable & since I was just trying them out - I didn't want to spend the extra money for the refillable one. But I will probably go for the refillable version now since my skin definitely feels softer.
Customer Review: Chlorine Free Baths for me and my family Summary: 5 Stars
Now we can take a hot hot bath together and not smell the stinkin' chlorine. This Bath Ball really works!
When I use it, I simply toss it in the water as the bath fills up and I leave it in the bath while we are playing in the tub - kids love it as a toy.
I forgot to put it in the water once when I was drawing a hot bath, I opened the door to the bathroom and BLAM - I smelled the chlorine thickly in the air. That was one of only a few times that I forgot to put it in the bath when I fill it. That mistake proved to me though that the Crystal Bath Ball works - and works well.
I highly recommend it.
