Customer Reviews of Rainshow'r Series 3000 Crystal Ball for the Bath

Customer Review: Rainshow'r crystal bath ball
Summary: 3 Stars

I was excited to finally receive a bath ball to take the chlorine out of the bath water, as my skin gets dry and I love to take a bath. I already have a filter for the shower which works great. However, I found that the bath ball really didn't get rid of the chlorine smell and the dry skin, it didn't seem to work that well for our water in Tucson. I tried soaking it longer and various methods of pulling it through the water. Now I just fill the bath tub with water from the shower head.

Customer Review: Works for me
Summary: 5 Stars

I always loved a hot soak in the tub, but have not had one in forever because the chlorine fumes from the water were just awful. I seen this and decided to give it a try not getting my hopes up to much. Well it works great for me I just toss in while the tub is filling and swirl it around a little before I get in. No fumes , no dry skin , no brittle hair, I have a shower filter but I much prefer this, I bought 2 and will be giving one to my sister for my young nieces for their bath.

Customer Review: doesn't seem to do anything
Summary: 1 Stars

Perhaps its because our water is treated with chloramine so the science of how this would work doesn't really make sense. If you had actual chlorine in the water maybe it would work. In any case I followed the instructions, I ran my bath, and the water had a slight blue tint to it which means it had chloramine. Then after swishing the ball around for a few minutes, it was unchanged and still blue, so it still had chloramine, nothing happened.

Customer Review: Bath Ball
Summary: 2 Stars

Bought two, the housing is made of soft plastic that snaps together but comes apart easily, I ended up using twist ties to hold it together.
The ball hangs under the tap and water splashes over it, unlike other filters, there is no way to ensure that all of the water is filtered
I bought it as a cheap alternative to an in line filter and got exactly that, a cheap and less affective alternative.

Customer Review: One of My Worst Purchases
Summary: 1 Stars

The ball falls apart every single time my kids take a bath. The directions say to run the ball through the water for at least five minutes - this would be inconvenient, but okay if the ball didn't come apart each and every time. Plus, during the night-time bath to bed routine, 5 extra minutes is sometimes hard to spare. I'm not sure the ball is working to eliminate chlorine; I am sure it is poorly made.
