Customer Reviews of Rayovac 813-12PP Alkaline D Batteries (12-pack)Customer Review: A Great Value And A Great Product! Summary: 5 Stars
Those of us who live out in the more rural areas experience more power outages and sudden losses of access, often at the worst possible time, as in the middle of a violent thunderstorm or at the peak of a blizzard. Then we depend on the kind of reliable and durable power for our flashlights and portable radios that these Ray-O-Vac's D alkaline batteries, which in my estoimation are indeed perfect for flashlights and other heavy-duty electronic devices, and in this large 36 pack of the D size is quite a good value, bringing the cost of them to around a dollar per battery. The company's long-lasting alkaline formula gives these particular batteries a very durable quality, with plenty of staying power for those times you need to use them consistently for a sustained period of time. In addition, Ray-O-Vac's batteries are nicely packaged in either the traditional packs or in a version that is called the Clear Value and Pro Pack, which are really handy and resealable containers that give you a helping hand in storing and organizing them. I have used them for a while, and prefer them to the other D-sized batteries on the market. Enjoy!
Customer Review: Outstanding Batteries - Excellent Price Summary: 5 Stars
Living in a rural area where power fails frequently due to lightning storms and hurricanes, one has to rely on D-cell batteries to power flash lights, lanterns and radios for extended periods. Due to the low prices of the Rayovac value packs at Target/Amazon, we tried these batteries several years ago. We've been extremely pleased with the performance of all the new Rayovac batteries. I really don't think it's fair to compare these batteries to Duracell since the Rayovacs cost half as much. But, since everyone else does compare them, I'd estimate the Rayovacs last 85-90% as long as Duracell batteries. If you're looking for a quality battery that won't break the bank, look no further.
Customer Review: Alkaline D cells last longer than Rayovac D cell Summary: 2 Stars
Until I bought several weeks worth of Rayovac Alkaline D cells, I used Duracell Alkaline D cells.
Every week I run a 3-CD changer (JVC _CX-XC370) for 11 hours worth of water aerobic classes, at the same volume level (Volume #10), from Tuesday to Thursday. The Duracells lasted all 11 hours (and might last even longer). In contrast, these Rayovac D cells for the last five weeks have consistently died during the second half of the next-to-last class (after hour 9.5 and before hour 10).
Customer Review: rayovac does not keep their promises. Summary: 1 Stars
I would not buy their products, because if any of their batteries corrode, they will not replace the product that was damaged. The always find a loophole to say they will not replace what was damaged! A total let down. A waste of money !!!!
Customer Review: Great Value Summary: 5 Stars
This work far better than "heavy duty" batteries or some of the other non-premium brands I have used in the past. They seem to last very long for the money. I will continue to buy these rather than pay twice as much for a Duracell.
