Customer Reviews of Rayovac NM713-2 Rechargeable NiMH D Batteries (Two-pack)

Customer Review: BabyToys
Summary: 4 Stars

The batteries were packed well and received quickly.

These are great to use on baby toys (as well as your big kid toys)... just buy an extra set so you can always have a set charging while the other is in the toy.

The only reason I mention that is because the batteries do run down kind of quickly, and take up to 8 hours to fully charge.

But I'm not complaining... while there is an initial investment, think of the money you'll save on buying new batteries all the time. And you'll be doing a small part for the environment by not throwing out batteries all the time.

Customer Review: Beware of so-called recharegeable "D" batteries
Summary: 1 Stars

Be careful when shopping for rechargeable batteries! The Rayovac (and Energizer) products have the same Amp-Hour capacity as a "AA" battery! Do a little web searching and you'll find the Energizer is really an AA-sized cell in a "D" package - but sells for much more! I can't speak to the inner construction of the Rayovac, but it has a capcity of 2200 mAh -- definitely in the AA range (in fact, somewhat low for a good rechargeable AA these days). If you want the power capacity that a "D" size package should give you, look elsewhere -- the capacity should be in the 10,000+ mAh range.

Customer Review: Weak
Summary: 1 Stars

Bought these batteries to use in an infant swing. The charge doesn't even last 1/4 as long as standard batteries. Other reviewers are correct about the mAh (which I had no understanding of until using these awful batteries). Do not waste your money buying these. Spend extra and get something rated at least 10,000 mAh NOT 1,800 like these. You'll be charging these ones daily!

Customer Review: Don't Be Fooled
Summary: 1 Stars

This is a AA battery in a D size case. It will last less than half the time of a "real" D size NiMH cell. The power available from a battery is indicated by the mAH rating, with more being better. The price of this item looks good until you realize you are paying for a D cell and getting AA performance.

Customer Review: Rated Power Too Low!
Summary: 1 Stars

This is the kind of power rating (2200 mah) that would be pretty good for a AA battery, but way to low for a D cell. At all-battery.com you get two 9000 mah batteries for 12.99. Rayovac is a good old name, and these aren't bad batteries. But, you'll get longer use with a higher rated battery.
