Customer Reviews of Rayovac NM715-8 Rechargeable NiMH AA Batteries, 8-Count PackageCustomer Review: Average batteries Summary: 2 Stars
I bought these batteries a while ago as a replacement for some old no-name rechargeable batteries. I was highly dissapointed. Whereas my generic rechargeable batteries used to last a long time, these do not. The Rayovac batteries have to be constantly recharged even when used in remote controls or clocks. Cameras dry up these batteries extremely fast. I basically have to recharge the batteries every time I want to use the camera. The batteries don't seem to charge completely. I seem to be recharging the batteries on my clock about once a month and the ones in the remote controls about once every 3 months.
I don't reccomend these batteries as they efficient nor practical as you will be recharging them over and over. Thus, you will be spending more energy than you normally would.
Customer Review: This is a must have Summary: 5 Stars
These batteries are awesome...it's saved me a lot of money purchasing regular alikine batteries. Everyone uses AA batteries...wither it's their wall clocks, their remote controls, their MP3 players, cordless keyboards/mouse, digital cameras, or even the old 35mm cameras, etc. Some companies sell their proprietary rechargeble packs that can cost over $30, but really, all you need is this and the charging dock and just pop these into what ever you need them for. I've had mine for years, they have a long charging life, and I've only had one or two that have lost it's life cycle (can't hold a charge). Also, these are more environmentally friendly since you're not throwing as much electrial waste away.
Customer Review: These are not your best option. Summary: 3 Stars
I got these some time ago. I like them better than Ni-Cad since they don't get that "memory" problem and not fully charge/discharge. But they don't hold a full charge for long. Just about every time I grab my digital camera which is not used frequently, the batteries are low or dead.
For the last year or so, I have been using the "Sanyo Eneloop" rechargable batteries. They are far superior and I like them alot. They are still a Ni-Mh battery, but hold most of their charge even if left un-used for a year.
Check them out. Amazon has a large assortment to choose from. I think you'll like them too.
Customer Review: Battries Summary: 4 Stars
The batteries were packed well and received quickly.
These are great to use on baby toys (as well as your big kid toys)... just buy an extra set so you can always have a set charging while the other is in the toy.
The only reason I mention that is because the batteries do run down kind of quickly, and take up to 8 hours to fully charge.
But I'm not complaining... while there is an initial investment, think of the money you'll save on buying new batteries all the time. And you'll be doing a small part for the environment by not throwing out batteries all the time.
Customer Review: disappointed Summary: 3 Stars
I was drawn by the price and the b=name- Rayovac. Should have paid more attention to the Mah rating. They just don't compare in holding capacity or long lasting, ready when you are abilities with stronger, (slightly) more expensive batteries. At $2 apiece they really aren't much cheaper than you can find shopping around for 2500 Mah AAs. Like Duracell or Sony. In my camera the Rayovac dropped from full to 2/3 full (on camera gauge) after a few shots. Others would show full for 30. They work, but takes at least 3 to equal 2 good batteries. Won't buy again.
