I started using rechargeable batteries some years ago when I was at a Radio Shack store. I saw them and I liked the idea. I bought some Radio Shack-branded AAA batteries and a whooping "fast" charger that took only 16 hours to charge! Hehe, I know I know! It was fast at the time. :-) Later I got a faster Radio Shack charger, that does the job in around 4 hours, and it is my current charger.
My collection of electronics grew, some AAA batteries died, and I was in need of more batteries. I saw this exact Rayovac product in the supermarket, and cheaper than Radio Shack's batteries, and decided to buy it. It doesn't last. The first time I charged them, they lasted half the time in my mini Microsoft mouse, and the second time they lasted half of that, bringing it to 1/4 of Radio Shack's time. By the third time I charged them and loaded them into my mini mouse, they lasted some 30 minutes. Just to make sure I did not remove them before they were charged, I charged them again, overseeing the process occasionally. Tested again. Guess what? They can't even start moving the mouse. As if they were already discharged.
After the experience, I took the time to drive to Radio Shack, and once again I bought their brand. Now I'm facing the dilemma of buying a digital camera, and I think I'll get the Canon SX10 IS, so I need AA batteries. I am browsing for rechargeable batteries with high capacity now because Radio Shack's, although good so far, are only 2100 mAh, and experience tells me it is not enough for this device. This is how I found this product, and decided to warn people about it.
