Customer Reviews of Red Door By Elizabeth Arden For Women. Eau De Toilette Spray 3.3 Ounces

Customer Review: I closed the Red Door!
Summary: 2 Stars

Red Door puts Poison & Giorgio to shame. One spray will do or it will announce your arrival before you.

It opens with honey-drenched white florals. Morphs into a rose, just a bit soapy, eventually a bit powdery. Takes a long time to dry down. Pleasant & wearable for me ... in about 2 hours.

If you like extravagant florals, this one might be for you. I'm glad I opened the red door but I doubt that I'll do it again. I'm gonna keep this red door closed. However, I love this version: Red Door Velvet By Elizabeth Arden For Women, Eau De Parfum Spray, 3.3-Ounce Bottle

Customer Review: Lovely fragrance
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my s.o. because I simply loved the scent.
Since it's been around a while, it gets an unfair knock as fragrance for old ladies, although I do think lots of older women wear it. To me, anything that has a powdery scent reminds me of an old ladies. This fragrance has ultra-feminine sweet, floral scent without being over-powering. It is subtle, complex, and long lasting. It is not for younger women who gravitate toward sweeter, citrusy smell. At $25 - 30 a bottle for 3.3 oz EDT, I think it's a terrific value.
Cheap priced but definitely not cheap smelling. A classic, 5 star.

Customer Review: I think it's okay, but others love it on me
Summary: 4 Stars

Fragrance is a peculiar thing. I have lots of different scents that I wear. Personally, I think Red Door is okay, but not one of my top ten. However, EVERYTIME I wear it, I get loads of compliments, especially from men, who not only tell me it smells nice, but want to know what it is (I guess so they can go buy it for their special someone). Because the compliments are somewhat baffling to me (since I'm not super crazy about the fragrance myself), I once asked a friend to describe it (without me telling her what it was). She said it smelled like baby powder but with floral notes added on, very pleasant.

Customer Review: Wonderful deal!
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this as a birthday present for my mother. She loves this perfume and has worn it for years. It has a stronger, wood-sy like scent in my opinion. When I bought the gift in November of 2008, the price was around $22.00 for this large 3.3 ounce bottle. The price itself was just wonderful as you can't even get the smaller bottles for that price at retail stores. All in all, it would be a wonderful present for a special woman in your life that enjoys this kind of scent.

Customer Review: Love This Cologne
Summary: 4 Stars

I have been using this fragrance for several years now and I love it. Red Door by Elizabeth Arden and White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor are my two favorite colognes. I have to disagree with the negative comment on this product. I don't feel that it is strong-scented at all. But of course with colognes and perfumes "a little goes a long way." Any cologne that is "applied too liberally" will be strong and overpowering in my opinion.
