Customer Review: Works well enough for me, but REALLY painful...

I had tried the Listerine Strips and didn't like them, and I had used the Crest Strips before, but to be honest, I was trying to spend as little as possible to get the results I was looking for. When it came time for a wedding I had to attend, and there was no time left to do a two-week program, I decided to try this product because a friend said it worked well for her.
I was a little hesitant at first because my teeth are already a little sensitive to hot and cold, but I was desperate for something, so I tried it anyway. By the end of the first 20 minutes, my teeth hurt a little. By the start of the last 20 minutes it was almost too painful to keep them in, but I managed. I didn't notice that much of a difference in color right away, but this morning - a day later - I can definitely tell it worked pretty well. Like another reviewer said, my teeth aren't glowing white like some celebrities, but they are definitely better than they were before.
As for the pain, my teeth started hurting halfway through the process, but stubborn me, I kept going with it. I had shooting pains all through my face all night (I used the product yesterday between 2:30-4:30pm). I did not get any white spots or streaks on my teeth or gums. However, my gums did blister, but not until later in the evening. It took about 5-6 hours after I finished the process for the real pain to show up.
This morning, my teeth hurt much less than yesterday, but my lower gums hurt WAY more. I think I have a huge blister on the inside of my lower lip, and a small one on the inside gumline behind the teeth where the tongue touches. I feel like I got punched in the jaw, and I can't smile or drink or anything without severe pain. In fact, it hurts even when I'm not making any facial expression at all.
I don't know if I'll ever use the product again. I might, but next time I definitely won't do all four sessions back to back. I just wish I'd known about the pain first. #I'm pretty sure I'm stubborn enough that if I had read the reviews here I'd have thought I wouldn't end up with these blisters like other people.)
I gave it three stars because it worked, but I'm not sure it was worth the pain.

UPDATE: I wrote this review too soon. The sensitivity in the teeth only took about 24 hours to go away, but I ended up with blisters and pain like I have never had in my life in the area where the lower lip meets the gums. The full extent of the pain did not show up until about 24 hours after the treatment, when the blisters finally broke. It took about a week for them to fully heal, and there's still some pain once in a while. I would still recommend the product and use it again because it worked quite well, but next time I would be VERY VERY careful.
