I've used nearly every kind of razor in the 50 years since I started shaving and this one is the best I have ever used. The washing/lubricating system keeps it fresh. The R-9500 continually shaves closer with less irritation than either my Norelco or the wet blade razors I've used recently.My only gripe is that Remington apparently didn't anticipate the demand for the cleaning solution refills.

.I bought this shaver in Detroit, MI. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this one, it was definetely one of the biggest shopping mistakes I done so far.The battery finishes after 30 minutes of shaving instead of 60.The cleaner doesnt do the cleaning well, and the electric chord doesn't hold up well while charggin, which means you can't shave while charging.DON'T BUY THIS ONE !!Customer Review: Cheap

I bought this item for my Husband as a Christmas gift; and this is what he thinks of it.
From the 1st time use to the 15th time, it takes too long to shave, it feels like I have razor burn after every shave. Facial hair comes back ALOT quicker, about 8 hours and it's like I haven't shaved that day. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

This seems to work well if my boyfriend grows longer stubble but for a shave that is a touch up, it doesn't get as close as a razor. Also, it tends to leave a bit of a rash/burn on his neck which has never happened before. Overall, he is happy with it and we like that it is self-cleaning.Customer Review: Great Shaver!!!

I bought two, one for my son and one for my husband. Son has opened and used it. He loved it so much he told me to write a 5 star review. He had a Norelco but says this is a top of the line comfortable close shave. 5 star quality and price...love the cleaning feature!!!
