Been using this stuff for a few years. Now it is getting hard to find. I usually bought it at Walmart. They quit carrying it. Now I purchased 3 from Amazon. All in good shape. One probably lasts me about a year. I used it with my Norelco Arcitec 1090. Now I have a Braun 790cc. Everything works good. I just rinse my foil heads under warm water and they look clean. Once every three days, into the auto cleaner. The scent does not bother me and I am sensitive. A few years ago I began using some nasal spray to help with some bronchitis I got and it seems to have diminished my smelling though. C'et La Vie.Customer Review: good performance, icky perfume odor

Not.
Product works well, improves glide over the face and decreases irritation.
However, does result in more detritus during shaving that ends up on my shirt.
The perfume smell sits on my face all day, and I have to put up with it. Ick. I can wash it off with soap and water, but I got an electric shaver to avoid that.
If the perfume was removed, I would give it 4-1/2 stars.
Hey Product Makers: get rid of perfumes!

When I got a new Remington electric razor a few years ago a package of Remington FaceSaver came with it. I used it until it ran out then started with the liquids like Lectric Shave. They never worked as well.The powder is a talc, which dries that clingy bit of moisture on your skin, plus paraffin, which with the talc lets the head glide over your skin.
As another reviewer says, the powdery waste easily dumps out of the cutter head - no brushing required.
I hunt this stuff down. No other way to shave, in my opinion.

My first order for the Face Saver pre-shave stick was misplaced by the USPS; they delivered it, but not to me. When the seller contacted me to find out what happened, he indicated that he would not only re-ship the 3 sticks I had ordered, but would include 2 more; I was pleased about the replacement, but said that the extra sticks did not have to be included. Got them today, by FedEx. Talk about GREAT service, this is IT!!
Don't hesitate to order from this seller....

Ordered Remington FaceSaver for my husband. He has used FaceSaver for years and absolutely loves it. We searched every store in the Pittsburgh area without luck. Either the stores never carried product or has discontinued doing so. A shame since it is non-messy, easy to use and convenient. Best of all, FaceSaver leaves the face feeling baby soft. He loves it! Also, our first order placed through Amazon.com. This company is fantastic and cares about their customers.
