I ordered this because sometimes, I just don't have time to mess with a traditional razor and shave gel. Was a little skeptical, thinking there was no way I'd get a smooth shave and expected some stuble. However, I'm very impressed! I get a good shave, leaving my legs very smooth. There was light razor burn after the first time or two using it, but that went away quickly. I find that I do need to go over the area a couple of times in different directions, but its still faster than a traditional shave. It even did my bikini area pretty well. Its not so great with underarms though, requiring numerous passes, which tended to irritate.
Overall, a good product.

I've never used an electric razor b4, n when I opened the package I found the lil warrning slip saying it can take up to 3wks for ur skin to get use to it if u've never used one. I wasn't happy reading that but then it didn't apply to me. I've used it now 3x n have had no irritation. My problem with it was that it takes a lot longer then a regular razor (this is why I only gave it 3stars, I'm a single mom of a 15mth old n time is something I don't always have) mayb 'cuz I don't let the hair on my legs get too long; also it's very loud but overall I'm still happy with my purchase as it leaves my legs smooth n no razor burn.Customer Review: Not a very close shave

I've been using this razor for about six months now and I find that I don't get as close a shave as I did with the Remington WDF-6000. The only reason I did not buy another 6000 after that one died after 3 years of use (it would no longer take a charge) was that I wanted to try something different and a little cheaper. I'm sorry I didn't get the 6000, for it was a closer shave than this 1600. Also, the 6000 has an indicator that the battery needs charging, which is a nice feature.
On the positive side, the 1600 hasn't had any problems charging, and the charge lasts awhile. It's also easy to grip and hold.

I got this product because I have sensitive skin and hate razor bumps that I get with a regular blade. Ive had this now for about a month or so, and I use it every other day.
I dont think I would buy this again, honestly. I dont know if there's some special tecnique for this, but it just doesnt get the hairs. I can tell it has shaved a little, but no matter how many times I go over and over it just doesnt feel smooth, and it always misses hairs, no matter what I do. I paid around $30 for this with S&H. Maybe if you find this for like $5 bucks I would say go ahead and try it, but I wouldnt reccomend it otherwise.

I've had my new Remington WDF-1600 for about two months now and I absolutely love it. It leaves my legs smooth and the shave seems to last longer. It also seems that my hair is softer when it grows back - less stubble and absolutely no razor bumps... I have always used a regular razor with replaceable blades and decided to make this change when the cost of blades skyrocketed.
The only problem I had with the shaver is a little redness under the arms (not on the legs) when I tried shaving dry - I recommend that you always use it wet and with a cream for under arm shaving - no problems this way!
