This is the best electric shaver I've ever used but it's still not as good as a real shave - which I don't do because of an unfortunate prediliction of nicking myself.
I've been using this shaver for 3 months now and find I have to go over areas at least twice, sometimes thrice. It does work well in the bath as well as "dry." So far I've only used it on my legs, although it has panty-line and underarm settings.
I like the self-cleaning feature, although I can't say for sure that it actually does anything -- lots of noise that may just be impressive? The cleaning solution isn't cheap and it looks like it has to be replaced every quarter.
I am unhappy that a small piece of rubber edgling is already slightly torn -- for no apparent reason. I'm waiting to see if it requires a repair to work properly which, if it does, will be EXTREMELY annoying.

The WDF-7000 looks and shaves and probably uses the same replacement parts as my old Remington WDF-6000! Why doesn't Remington create a model with a battery that's replaceable! I loved my WDF-6000! I was disappointed when I realized my WDF-6000 wasn't recharging anymore and that replacing the battery wasn't an option. But the less expensive WDF-7000 works just as well. I'm use to rinsing the WDF-6000 under a heavy stream of water to clean it. Once you use the WDF-7000 cleaning system, obtaining a cleaned shaver under a heavy stream of water doesn't work without using the brush a lot.
Yet do not dispair. It appears that the cleaning solution does lubricate the shaver and may aid in a smoother shave.
I've yet to replace the solution, but I'm hoping it's easy to find!
Bottom line? I recommend the WDF-7000.

I have had mine for a little over 2 years and it has never failed to amaze me on the closeness of the shave. I have extremely sensitive skin
and have never experienced pain or pulling of the hairs. Being fair complected i am prone to razor bumps from conventional razors and since using this I not only get a "smooth and silky" shave but razor bumps are a thing of the past. I am disappointed than the super store by me has discontinued the replacement blades from their stock but was happy to see it here at amazon. The cleaning mose is great just hit a button and go. If the noise "more like humming" bothers you just fininh your business in the room and hit the button on your way out. Personally I dont find it bothersome at all when you consider the thing cleans itself. What more could one ask for in a razor. It deserves 5 stars all the way!!

This is the first time I've used an electric razor. After 3 weeks of diligently shaving with it every day as the instructions state, I am not exactly in love with it. Although my legs *look* shaved, I can feel the short little stubble. It simply does not compare to a regular razor blade for smoothness. My armpit skin has not adjusted to it and I have to be very careful or it hurts and leaves red marks that sting. I've gone back to a regular razor for my armpits. Overall, it is handy, my legs look nice, the cleaning station works fine, and I love that it is usable in or out of the shower. For those sexy occasions I am going to revert back to a regular razor for the silky-smooth skin but for every day use I will stick with the electric razor because it is way cheaper than razor blades.Customer Review: Great Women's Electric Shaver

I have only ever used electric shavers and this one is by far the best I have ever owned. It gives a very close shave on the legs and does just as well with a few weeks of growth as with a few days. The under arms are closer than with any other electric shaver though I was not as impressed as I was with the leg results. The shave is close enough that I can go several days before I have annoying stubble popping back up. The blades are gentle on the skin too. The cleaning system is an ecellent bonus and keeps the shaver irritation-free. Also, this is the first electric shaver I've bought where the carrying case has enough room for the charger plug! I'm glad someone finally recognized that if you're taking the shaver somewhere in its case you'll probably want to re-charge it too...
