Customer Reviews of Remington Wet 2 Straight 2" Wide Plate Wet/Dry Ceramic Hair Straightening Iron with TourmalineCustomer Review: hair straightener Summary: 5 Stars
This is great! I have very curly hair with semi-nappy roots (I am half black and half white). It has been very hard to straighten my hair in the past because my hair texture makes it very difficult to comb my hair when it is dry. With this I can leave my hair mostly wet and it straightens it perfectly! I have never used a straightener that could straighten my hair as well as this. And it is much more convenient and easier to do it when it it wet. Cuts the time down by half for someone with hair like mine. Plus heat protection spray doesn't effect the performance so you can spray a lot on if you are worried about damage like I am. easy to clean as ling as you do it regularly. Heats up in 30 seconds. Overall a great product!
Customer Review: i loved this Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this straightener!!!! my old conair one didnt work well. I have really really thick asian hair and its already pretty straight. i wanted it to be like perfectly straight and so i bought this straightening iron. It worked perfectly well but one thing that i didnt like too much was it snagged on my hair a little bit once in a while.
i have not tried the straightener with wet hair yet...ill try that later. i havent found any trouble with it but the way it beeps is kinda annoying ( it beeps when its hot enough or when its turning on/off)
i would definately recommend this product to anyone. i got mine at the icing (they had a buy one get one 50% off so i bought one with my friend). i ended up paying 20 bucks.
Customer Review: It's everything you want from a hair straightener! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had the 2" and the 1" version for about 3 years now, and they still work as perfectly as day one. I use the 2" for the majority of my hair, and the 1" for those hard-to-grab areas, or when I just want to straighten certain areas. It heats up really fast and really can straighten wet hair! And to those reviewers who have complain that their hair starts out straight but gets curlier throughout the day: YOU NEED TO USE PRODUCT! No straightener can make your hair straight permanantly! Straighteners get your hair straight, and products KEEP it straight. I've never had the good fortune to try a $100, $200, $1,000 straightener, so I can't say it's as good. What I can say is, for $25, this thing is a-freakin'-mazing!
Customer Review: Buyer beware Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this product based on the good reviews, although it straightens perfectly and keeps hair straight,it dries my hair out fast although I use heat protectant spray, serum, etc...
If it doesnt split the end, I have split in the middle of the hair shaft. This happened after I purchased and used this product after a few weeks. If you have normal to coarse wavy/curly hair like mine, dont risk the damage from this one.
One of the best Ive used was Truceramic Pro which lasted me from years 2003-2009, but when the ceramic layers ate away I decided to go with the remington...now I'm onto try a ceramic-plated iron, not ceramic coated..3 Brands I've researched are FHI, HANA, CHI. Good luck to all
Customer Review: Great straightener for the money! Summary: 5 Stars
I actually bought this straightener at Dillards for $25 and could not be happier with the straightener. If you think that it's only going to take one swipe of your hair for it to go from wet to dry you are living in an imaginary world. One slow swipe and a couple quick ones and my (thick, curly) hair is dry. AND my hair is soft and stays straight throughout the day. There are different setting from dry thin hair to wet thick hair so, lots of options! Also it beeps when it is ready to use and has an automatic shut off. Sometime the steam gets a little close to your hand and it burns a bit so you do have to be conscious of how you are holding it but this is one very small drawback to a great product. BUY IT!
