I'm one of the many that have tried everything under the sun to straighten my hair. I have thick, wavy hair well past my shoulders and this iron ROCKS! A long time ago, I tried a $200 wet/dry flat iron and hated it so much, I swore I'd never buy one. But after years of blow drying and straightening (with my $150 CHI, which I love) I really wanted to cut down on time. I was ready to spend a lot, but I read the reviews for the Remington and thought since they were so good, I'd try it first. I am SO glad I did. It's fairly new, so time will tell how well it holds up, but it works GREAT! I love that I've saved myself a good deal of money and my prep time for doing my hair has been cut in half. I have fine, wavy, frizzy hair. With other flat irons, my hair would get frizzy as soon as I went outside in the humidity, not this one. I use it once in the morning and my hair is straight for 24 hours. I straighten my hair in the morning, go to bed at night, and it is still straight when I wake up the next day. I have tried both the 1" and 2" and definitely prefer the look I get with the 2". However, I don't like the look of my hair when I straighten it from wet. I have long hair and blow dry it until damp (not wet), then straighten it. I have also taken my hair out of a ponytail and straightened it dry. You couldn't even tell my hair was ever pulled back. I can not explain here how GREAT this flat iron is!! I really doubted that it was possible to take a straightner to wet hair and have it come out looking so perfect. I first used this product when I was at the beach, and in that climate there is nothing I can usually do to keep my hair from being completely frizzy, I used this iron right out of the shower and my hair was completely smooth all night. It used to take me 45 minutes to an hour to blow dry and flat iron my hair, now I am 30 minutes from shower to ready to go and my hair never looked better! I would reccomend that anyone thinking about purchasing this DO IT!!!! I also can't believe how CHEAP this product is for the value!!Customer Review: Awesome

It's a little different body wise than the older versions which was awkward at first. But the time it takes to warm up is a FRACTION of what the older machines used to take. I have bought all sorts of hair irons and this one takes the cake!!! You really can iron your hair when it's wet OR dry, and it works awesome!!! Now over the years, my hair has changed and gotten easier to iron, but back when I first bought it, my hair was super thick and it worked too. I might get the curved one too, because it flattens my hair so straight that I end up twirling it around the iron anyway for waves.. LOVE THIS! LOVE THE PRICE! LOVE THE RESULT! I looked for this straightening iron in all the Walmart stores in my city and they were all out. This hair straightener, in my opinion, is the best out of all the cheaper ones. That explains why I couldn't find it. I don't know how people can pay $100 on a straightener that will do the same job as this one here. I tried to go to other stores like Target, etc, but they cost way more than Walmart. Why pay more at other stores when you know it is the same exactly product that is at Walmart. But anyway, then I decide to search for it online. I found it here for the same amount of money and I got free shipping for whatever reason that I can't remember. So I am very happy with my product.
