Customer Review: Not the old Revitalash

I used the first generation Revitalash with the Bimatoprost prostaglandan analogue in it, and my lashes became long and lush. I gave it a good review here on Amazon.
Unfortunately, due to a patent infringement with Allergen, they had to take the bimatoprost out of it and as a result, the product no longer works for me. I believe it may still contains some sort of prostaglandin but if so, one that is less effective for me. I miss my long eyelashes.
I just ordered the Phillip Thomas Roth "Lashes to Die For", and we'll see if that works any better. If not, I guess I'll bite the bullet and get Latisse, which is bimatoprost but which requires a prescription. (And, which is way more expensive than the original Revitalash ever was.)
If you do choose to use an eyelash enhancer with prostoglandin, you need to be diligent - you have to use it nightly and it can take 8 weeks to see results. People who use it sporadically for a few weeks and give it negative reviews aren't using it right. Hopefully, some people will find this new reformulation of Revitalish works for them - for me, my eyelashes went back to nubs.

I originally started using this product when I had surgery and my eyelashes fell out. I was skeptical at first but really wanted them to grow back to I gave it a try and you wouldn't believe them now! I was really convinced when I read it had been developed for a man who's wife had cancer and experienced the same problem. I order it on-line at Amazon and because of competition it has come down in price considerably and you don't need a prescription. I have cornea issues and checked with my doctor first and he said the active ingredient is the same in Revitalash as it is in Latisse and also the chemical that is used in Glaucoma drops which causes the eyelashes to grow. I have always been worried about brown spots, but my green eyes have stayed green as I'm careful to make sure I don't get the product in my eyes and I have not experienced the two major side effects, itchig and burning, which with all of my allergies, it's a wonder! I would recommend this product to anyone who has an issue with their eyelashes or who just wants eyelashes that are gorgeously long and thick. And mine didn't start out this way before they originally fell out!Customer Review: its all in the mind

From all the hype that has been put into this product I would assume that it would work up to at least some of its potential. I was a bit doubtful but I figured why not just try it, I am writing this review after about two months from starting Revitalash. I did not see the most dramatic results in fact once accidentally I poked the applicator into my eye, and it did not effect me in the least: no burning no irritation. I started to get even more doubtful, like it was only a placebo made for people to think that it is working; since then I closely examined my lashes, and to be perfectly honest they seem the same. I suppose there comes a point where it does not work any more. To any one who buys this, I recommend you really look closely to your lash lines and see how thick they already are and check them after the use, for me there wasn't a huge difference. It was not completely a waste, at least for a moment I was happy, even if it was all in my head =)
I guess that's what really matters your happiness. In conclusion, if you have the money and the time for experiments: try it; if not, don't bother: its not a huge look changer.

I was hesitant in purchasing such an expensive product which may not work but I finally gave in and gave it a shot. I used it every night and eventually saw results within four weeks. What it did though was lengthen (definitely) the lashes I already had but I did not see thickening, aka, growning more lashes along the lash line. The lashes grew irregularly and at one point I had to cut this one lash that was growing longer then the rest, certainly something I'd never had to do before. Please do note though that you have to be careful applying it to the lash line with that little brush since it burns if you manage to get it in your eye or put too much on and it seeps into your eye.
At one point I stopped using it because I was out of the country and I hadn't bothered to take it with me. It took about 5 or 6 weeks but the speeded up growth reverted back to normal and via the natural lash shedding process, I lost the length and went back to the way I was before I used the product in the first place. You would have to continuously apply it to keep the effects going. That could get expensive.

I have been using Revitalash since January this year.
It's fantastic and I won't be without it. I love this stuff.
For 7 weeks i didn't see any great difference (although you could see a little difference for the good in the photo diary I kept).
During the 8th week - my lashes really looked noticeably longer and fantastic.
Apply a little just like eyeliner (I go top and bottom lashes) -
then I put a couple of eye-bright drops from the chemist in just to protect my eyes in case any has gone into the eye.
I haven't had any reddening of the skin nor changing of eye colour.
No stinging sensation either.
I use it every second day now - and my lashes are better than ever.
All the thickness from my youth has returned - and they are longer than ever.
Just persevere with it daily at first - too many people give up after a couple of weeks.
It extends the life (growing and resting phase) of your own lashes allowing them to grow longer.
Mine are amazing now. I have them tinted and permed - and don't wear makeup anymore.
