Customer Reviews of Revlon RV045 Perfect Heat Professional Straightener with Ceramic, 2 InchCustomer Review: not as stick straight as i would have wanted Summary: 4 Stars
i've been getting the stick-straight hair that lasted for a year by going to the saloon which cost me $120 for straightening, cut and treatment. So, i thought why not do it myself since i already have straight hair, it shouldn't be much of an effort. Well, not really, this gadget works but i just couldn't get that same same smooth, light and silky straight look from the saloon.
i'm not sure if i should have it on at a higher heat instead of keeping it between 5-8 ( i don't wish to fry my hair).. Overall, i would still recommend Revlon RX045C if you want straight hair with a little bit of volume.
Customer Review: Great straightener, great price! Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little wary of getting my first hair straightener because I kept hearing about all the bad ones! I didn't want to get an expensive one since I wasn't sure how much I'd use it and the cheaper ones seemed to break or burn hair. This one was perfect for me: ceramic, reasonably priced, and lots of heat adjustment. It's only been a month, but so far it's working great. Now I can put my thick wavy hair into some measure of control and elegance. It's starting to take a little longer to heat up now than in the beginning, and I hope it isn't a sign of breaking, but of being broken in.
Customer Review: Not for use with CURLY hair! Summary: 1 Stars
I read a ton of good review for this product so before I went to the salon and spent over $100 for a chi flat iron I decided to try it out. I bought a high end hair lotion to use with the iron and I was so excited to try it out. What I ended up with was not a head full of straight hair - I ended up with frizzy looking burnt smelling hair and a pretty badly burned thumb. I was generous enough to give this item one star because it does stay hot (see thumb), and I am sure someone with semi-straight or slightly wavy hair would be okay with it.
Customer Review: Best Flat Iron I've Owned! Summary: 5 Stars
This iron replaced my 2-3yr old Conair, which never really did a good job. This iron is lightweight, slim and really heats up to do the job. My hair stays stick straight and shiny for days at a time sometimes not even needing a touch up. I love how this has heat settings and "floating" ceramic plates so there really are NO gaps and your hair doesn't get pulled out or spots are missed. Plus because it's so lightweight my arms aren't hurting me by the time I am done, very user freindly. I will not be replacing this one anytime soon. Love it!
Customer Review: Very affordable & effective product! Summary: 4 Stars
I have naturally curly hair and straightening my hair with a flat brush and a blow dryer has always taken me forever! Now I can blow dry my hair in 15 minutes and then use the flat iron to finish and my hair stays board straight all day long. It's best to combine the flat iron with straightening spray to keep your hair from getting frizzy or getting those flyaways. I have had this product for 6 months and it's now starting to show signs of wear & tear and the ceramic gold topping is coming off but it still works really well!
