Customer Reviews of Revlon RV544 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ionic Lightweight Dryer, Silver/BlackCustomer Review: Absolute Best Hairdryer Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little skeptical, because I have fine hair, and many reviews state it's not for fine hair, HOWEVER, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hairdryer. It is AWESOME on my fine hair. Yes, the buttons are right at your fingertips, so you do have to pay attention, but I don't know where else they would put the buttons. Once you get used to it, your fingers do not tend to push the buttons accidentally. It gets very hot on the hot setting, and just as the button indicates, it's warm on the warm setting. I have fine hair, and I used it on HOT. When I want to straighten my hair, I used the attachment to direct the heat to a certain area; when I wear it curly, I used the diffuser. Someone had mentioned in an earlier review that the attachments are not included; THEY ARE INCLUDED. I got a diffuser, and a directional attachment. It is light weight, NOT TOO LOUD, and all around perfect. If it ever tears up, I will get the exact same thing as a replacement.
Customer Review: Glad I Found A Good One!!! Summary: 4 Stars
After much searching, trying others and a lot of research, I finally found a GREAT hairdryer! I can honestly say this is the best one I used and so glad I purchased it. The diffuser, I haven't used, but I'm sure is fine. I purchased a separate universal one from Conair. It is a tourmaline one. I like the diffusers a bit curved in the middle (this one is flat), like a cup so that I can make my waves a bit curlier and it does just that. Although my hair is consistently frizzy, this leaves it a bit less so, but with some products in my hair, it helps. It doesn't last all day, then again, it is a hair dryer.
This is the next best one, from what I have read, to the T3. I love the cool setting and everything. Those who had complained regarding the placement of the switches and buttons... maybe they don't know how to use a hair dryer, or have really big hands, but I have yet to get that problem.
Customer Review: Light weight Hair Dryer Summary: 4 Stars
Pros: Very light weight and drys well with less heat.
Cons: Very loud... almost ready to get a pair of ear plugs. Yikes!
Details of Use: The air coming out didn't seem to be as hot on low as my old dryer. However, it does dry quickly and evenly. I have yet to use it on low heat. Just doesn't seem hot enough. On high, it's a blast of hotter(but not too hot) air and noise. Great for a person styling someone elses hair the way my stylist does. The air shaft is longer than I'm used to, so I'm on a bit of a learning curve with a brush and heavy blast of air trying to curl medium length straight hair to give it body. Cool button is great, but don't seem to use it. The buttons are easy to use and have yet to hit one by mistake.
Not sure I would buy again because of noise. I just use it on low and take a bit longer. My husband and son now wake up. Kinda miss that time in a.m. by myself. ;)
Customer Review: Why are people paying $120+ for the same thing? Summary: 4 Stars
I knew this dryer is supposed to reduce the time it takes to dry hair, but I could NOT believe how quickly it did the job. My hair is thick, curly, and long, and with my old dryer it took about 10-15 minutes to get my hair about 90% dry (I would grow impatient & sometimes hot, especially in the summer). With this dryer, no lie, it took about 5 minutes max to get my hair about 95% dry. Wow!
I didn't give it 4 stars because my hair came out just as frizzy as with my old dryer, although I live in an area that probably gets >100% humidity. I also didn't feel like it was all that lighter or quieter than any other dryer. Maybe it's being compared to other tourmaline dryers; I'm not sure.
But overall this is an exceptional hair dryer. I'm glad I didn't purchase a T3 or a Sedu. This dryer works great at a 1/4 of the price! I also wish my previous hair dryer would have broken sooner!
Customer Review: Love this!! Summary: 5 Stars
Ok, first...I had my previous blowdryer for 8 years! I loved it. I have tried others and end up returning them or giving them away. This one will be with me until it dies! Its very lightweight (as promised)...which I need because I have fibromyalgia. Even with the defuser, its not heavy at all! Also, my old blowdryer, I had to super glue the defuser onto it because it kept falling off. This doesnt! It snaps right on and stays there. I like that it has a switch for hot and warm because I hated having to hold it down to get a cooler setting. And now the biggie...I have very long hair and those of you who do will appreciate this...it doesnt get caught in the air intake! With other blow dryers that have this much power, it happens a lot. There you are...ripping your hair out of the back of the blowdryer. Not with this! It blows hard, but doesnt catch your hair! Love this!! Thanks Revlon!
