I'm very pleased with this deep waver: it heats up fast, has the ionic technology that doesn't fry my hair but gets hot enough to set a good, deep curl, and has a super-long cord. Revlon provides all the bells and whistles for a lot less price, and this iron performs as well as my other, more expensive high-end irons.
Great for laying down wave close to the scalp. For instance, if your perm is growing out you can "crimp" in a few of these deep waves right at your hair part and it gives the illusion that hair is permed all the way to the root of your hair.
FINGER WAVES: Creates a fantastic finger-wave look, especially if you set the waves with these clips immediately after waving Marianna Professional Yoyette Clips * Aluminum Wave Clamps 3" 12 Clips Per Bag, or use Anne Crimpers to lock the wave in until the hair cools, ensuring a super long-lasting wave.
These deep waver-type irons create a nice "plate" of waves, although not three- dimensional. For that type of wave, and also spirals, consider this iron: Enzo Milano Clipless Curling Iron 1/2" (13mm) Round. However, for creating deep finger wave-type waves, especially near the scalp, this iron is superior.
