I mainly purchased this product for the noise reduction. My husband snores terribly and I sleep with earplugs every night (only the waxy ones work) and I am getting sick of it! So I thought this might be a good alternative. Plus...I desperately try to black out my bedroom but there is always a sliver of light shining through that wakes me (yes I am a VERY light sleeper). So I received this the other day and was so excited to try it out. First off, the fact that they are even legally allowed to advertise this as having noise reduction is a joke!!! It provides zero noise reduction or muffling!! Cup your hand lightly over your ear and that is the equaivalent of what this does. And then the nose issue. Man....all the light comes in at the nose and I couldnt fix it. Its almost worse then having all over light because it was like a tractor beam of light going directly in my eye.
I am not sure where all the positive reviews come from. Im not usually one to jump instantly to the fact that the good reviews are plants....but man, this was so way off I have to think they were!!! No one in their right mind would claim this reduced noise in any way for them. Maybe my nose is mis-shaped and thats why I had a problem with the light as well. But the noise??? No answer for that!!!

I have been a very satisfied customer of this company since I first discovered their product in 2002. I make sure to buy a new Sleep Master every year. I wouldn't dream (no pun intended) of sleeping without one anymore. I also give them to my friends and co-workers at the holidays. It's an inexpensive, thoughtful and useful gift, and they make excellent stocking stuffers!
Every person I give them to agree with me about how helpful this mask is for sleeping. It really works to induce a deep and refreshing sleep, and the quality/durability of the mask is much better than any other mask I have found. Service is also important to me, and theirs is fantastic, with a real personal touch. I think that's because it's a family owned business, and they really care about their customers.
A fabulous product and great customer service is a tough combination to beat. I strongly recommend Sleep Master.
As a repeat customer, I am to happy to see so many great product reviews on Sleep Master at this site, and elsewhere on the Web. Perhaps there are a handful of people in the world for whom no sleep mask will ever work, but rest assured that this mask is the best and most comfortable on the market - I know because I've tried them all!

I spend as many nights in hotels as I do in my own bed. Often, multiple LED's in the room along with the frequent bright lights outside the hotel window create a room that's too light to sleep. I tried every eye mask available and the Sleep Master Sleep Mask is the best.
When I used the smaller or more contoured eye masks, light would get in and/or I'd wake up with red-eye because somehow the edge of the eye mask would end up between my eye-lids and would irritate my eyes during the night. Also, with the other types, the narrow elastic bands would irritate my ears or cause soreness around my ears by morning.
The Sleep Master Sleep Mask is comfortable, with soft edges and no elastic so that there is no chance of eye or ear irritation. It's washable (instructions say hand wash but I've had no problem washing it in the washing machine on gentle in a mesh bag and then air drying it). The Velcro when closed low on the back of the head near the neck causes no "lump" to sleep on for back sleepers.
Also, the company's customer service is above and beyond most vendors' efforts. They truly care about making sure customers are happy and bend over backward to rectify any problems.

I have owned this mask for over 5 years. I bought one when I realized that I could not sleep while my husband was watching television (I'm a very picky sleeper). Through the years this mask has proven to be a lifesaver. There are many days that I wake up, peek out from under my mask and realize that it's broad daylight outside and I had no idea.
Here's what I love about this mask:
- It is soft and comfortable; once you get used to it you don't even realize it's on.
- It doesn't mess up your hair too badly.
- I like that it covers my ears too, it makes it more comfortable and blocks out some noise.
- It has held up well.
- The velcro makes it possible to get it on nice and tight.
The only cons I can note are:
- After awhile the "stuffing" seems to shift/thin a bit away from the front of the mask.
- At times the fabric which is cut out on the nose will cut into my nose if I don't have it on "just right".
I am in the process of ordering 5 more of these so I can be sure to have one in my travel bag, one at the Lake, and one at the office. I also plan to give one to my Mom.
Don't hesitate to buy this!
Customer Review: Can a human fall in love with a sleep mask?

I've tried so many uncomfortable or ineffective sleep masks that when I found this one, it felt like love! Someone named Judy wrote on Amazon that they had "mold allergies" to this product. I'm SUCH an allergy person that I once considered having my sinuses surgically removed, and would have if someone who'd done that hadn't dissuaded me. Anyway, I can't believe Judy's experience wasn't a coincidence, because I, my son, and many other allergy sufferers love this mask.(I can tell if a house has mold in it within minutes because my throat and nasal passages seem to swell and my voice gets husky and I have to take benadryl and get out FAST. So I'm sure this mask does not have that problem.)
It's expensive compared to the crummy ones, of course. But it feels lovely, and looks lovely, too. Great present, btw. I've given many to friends including allergy-sufferers like me. I give them as general presents, hostess gifts, stocking stuffers -- and as a gift to anyone I visit in a hospital. (Hospitals seem to specialize in keeping their patients awake.)
