Customer Review: Not perfect, but very, very good

I have used eye masks and ear plugs for a couple of years now, ever since staying at a hotel in the flight path of Miami International Airport. After that "complimentary hotel" mask started wearing out, I went in search of a long term option and picked this mask. It is excellent, comfortable for the most part (more on that shortly), stays in place, etc.. The best feature for me is the wide straps over the ears. One of the drawbacks for most eye masks is that they have a narrow strap. I tend to sleep on my side, and without covering from a wide strap, the ear plugs can work their way loose.
The only drawback for me is that the mask is flat over the eye area, which can cause a little too much eye pressure. If this had some kind of cupped design like other masks, I would give it 5 stars in a heartbeat. What I wound up doing was getting a cupped design eye mask and wearing it underneath this one. It works for me - but would love to have a "one mask" solution.

I have used many different sleep masks and have always been disappointed with all of them. They are either uncomfortable, the elastic is flimsy and wears out quickly, or they quickly slip off in the middle of the night and don't provide blocking of light when morning comes. The SleepMaster sleep mask is of excellent quality, is very comfortable, stays on through the night, and doesn't have flimsy elastic to wear out. It wraps around your face and head very comfortably and even forms little earmuffs to block out some sound as well as keeping the light out. Yes, it might cost a little bit more than other sleep masks, but this might be the last sleep mask that you ever buy and that makes it an excellent value. If you've been looking for a good quality sleep mask that will last you a long time will keep on your face through the night and will be comfortable, I highly recommend that you check out the SleepMaster sleep mask. I was looking forward to getting this sleep mask, but there are some serious design flaws that the manufacturer really should address:
(1) the eye sockets are not raised, so there is a pressure on your eyeballs, which after a while becomes uncomfortable, not to mention interfering with REM.
(2) The silky material does not breathe at all, thus you wake up in the middle of the night with a hot, sticky area on your face where the mask is fitted.
(3) The length of velcro was not able to fit the circumference of my head very well. In fact, I had to remedy that myself by actually sewing an extra length of velcro to one of the bands.
In sum, this is an overpriced, very disappointing product of low design quality. There are so many great eye masks at a lower price out there! I was expecting to receive the Mercedes of all eye gear for sleep for the $$$ I paid but instead, I received a Yugo.
Customer Review: It's a pretty good mask, but I could probably do better

This mask is many things claimed by the manufacturer: lightweight, easy velcro closure, washable.
I have a fairly small head, so the sizing was important to me. I think almost everyone could wear this mask out of the box, but, if not, adding a bit of velcro would do the trick. This also helps the mask to really stay on, too. Some masks with simple elastic cords always ended up under my pillow by morning because I pulled them off during the night.
I also like that it extends over the ears, because this helps earplugs stay in. I'm looking forward to taking it on an airplane trip for that reason.
The one thing I really, really don't like is the nose bridge. If I place it to keep out light, it is extremely uncomfortable. That lack of comfort is the sole reason for giving it three stars. If you don't believe this will be a problem for you, it's otherwise exceptionally good and priced reasonably.
Customer Review: Black Bags Under my Eyes, Gone at last.

Sleepmaster is truly a Sleepmaster. I had always wanted a sleep mask just to block out the morning sun. I went on line and stumbled across sleepmaster. I was impressed with how it looked , very form fitting and comfy looking. Than I seen where it would muffle noises.
That is when I said this is for me. I bought it and for the first time since I married my husband not only is my sleep comforting and dark, but it is snore free. I had to always put a pillow over my head to help try and drown out the noise. Not any more.
I have two grown daughters who I showed the mask to. They both wanted one. One of my daughter had the conventional type of sleep mask. She wanted one like Mom's. They both got there wish. It made for wonderful stocking stuffer's for Christmas. They both love them and are telling there friends. I give it a total thumns up.. Thank you SLEEPMASTER.
