I have chronic dry eyes. For several years, I've used an assortment of eye lubricants and they have been okay. I went to the eye doctor last week and he said my eyes are very dry and I need to lubricate them. Okay, even with the lubrication, they were dry and this new to me eye doctor told me my eyes are too dry. I went to a b&m store and shopped for eye drops and was overwhelmed because I don't need drops to remove the red, I just need them wet. I went to a second b&m store, a warehouse store I frequent, and I had the same problem -- many to remove the red, but the ones for simple lubrication were in individual vials and I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg and contribute to the landfill. I checked out Amazon and found these Rohto Zi Cooling Lubricant Eye Drops in a pack of three with fantastic reviews and I couldn't believe people were so excited about eye drops. I ordered them and received the package in two days (thanks, Amazon Prime) and I can see (pun intended) why these drops have such a following. Because they are distributed in the USA by Mentholatum (checked out their cool website) and because of the reviews, I was expecting these drops to freak out my eyes with a strong menthol sensation when introduced. Wrong. In my opinion, it is not a strong menthol sensation, but rather a cool and wet sensation that does not stop when the eyes are opened. My eyes feel like I imagine a windshield would feel if it were human -- sprayed with windshield wiper solution and then had wipers run at high speed for a few minutes to remove the bugs, tar and road grease. My eyes feel fresh, hydrated and my vision is enhanced as a result. I now see why these eye drops have such a great following. I'll head the march forward and see my way clearly, too. I've subscribed to a standing order of these eye drops.
