This stuff is amazing. I live in South Florida - humidity central. Whenever I travel anywhere not nearly as humid (i.e. almost everywhere), I suffer from dry lips that are actually painful. Even when I sit on an airplane for longer than an hour, I need something to soothe my lips.
My best friend, who happens to be a flight attendant, recommended Rosebud Salve to me and I ran out immediately to get some. She told me she can't work without it, and now I know why. I absolutely love it!
I find it soothing the second I apply it. I use it every night before I go to sleep, and occasionally during the day. It does soften your lips, and I've also been known to use a little under my nose if it should get especially dry while traveling. I've tried the different varities - the Strawberry version and the Minted Rose, and the best one, by far, is the orginial Rosebud Salve.
It comes in a little tin that's small enough to throw in your purse or makeup bag, and lasts forever! You only need the tiniest amount and the stuff lasts for hours! I never had a problem opening the tin, although once when traveling overseas I noticed it was harder to get it open - I don't know if the altitude had anything to do with that, but at home - I've never had an issue.
If you suffer from especially dry lips like I do, or if you just need a good lip balm, you definitely need to try Rosebud Salve - I love it for myself and I highly recommend it to others!
