I'd give it 5 stars but the plastic drive screw was broken.

I had both of my thumb joints replaced last year and even after healing it was very painful to peel vegetables and fruit. Tonight I used the Rotato Express to peel potatoes, oranges & apples and the peeling was all in one long piece, not messy little pieces. It was easier than I ever dreamed possible, one touch of the button and I have beautifully peeled vegetables and fruit.
I encourage everyone to try it, it really does save more of the veggies and fruit by peeling really thin layers. I ordered 2 packages of extra blades and I'm sure glad I did, I don't want to be without this appliance. Hoorah,Hoorah,Hoorah for the very quick efficient Rotato Express.

I was very satisfied with this product, even thought the potato peel was thick, it still saved me some time during cooking. After two months of use it stopped performing good. It will not rotate the potato and gets stuck. I contacted the seller but the 30 days warranty was over and was instructed to call "Starfrit" (the makers). They also were not able to help because of the 30 day warranty being over and threw the ball to the seller. At the end I could not get it replaced or repaired. Since I had no hopes of getting it replaced or repaired I decided to open it and see if I could find what was preventing it from rotating. Everything seemed to be in good condition until I disassembled the long side were the arm that holds the blade goes, it looks like a long screw and is made of a very low quality plastic and it had some broken spots, this is were the arm that holds the blade gets stuck. I never let it fall. I was not lucky with it, maybe I got a deffective model or one that had been stored for a long time making the plastic brittle. I'm giving it two stars because I still think that if it was made with better quality material this would be a nice gadget to have. By the way I bought two, one for me and one for my mom who has arthritis but hers also broke after a couple of uses. Too bad it did not broke during that 30 days warranty. I think their warranty period is poor, very rarely an appliance breaks during the first month of use, unless you use it everyday.Customer Review: Love it!!! Saves time getting dinner ready!!!

I owned the original manual Rotato years ago, and loved it but got rid of it during the "carbs are bad" craze. Now that I've got a family to feed every night, every little thing I can do to make food prep faster and easier is a bonus. I've peeled at least 30 pounds of potatoes with this so far on the same blade, all with zero problems. It's incredibly fast and easy. I put a bowl next to it and direct the peels into it. I keep it in a cabinet when not in use and use the A/C adapter. The razor is in such a place that I do not let my 7-year-old daughter near it out of paranoia. My girlfriend expressed concern with the 1/8" of potato it takes with it when peeling, but for me it's well worth it for all the time it saves and ease in using. I HIGHLY recommend it.
