A cursory visual examination makes me think this will work and be a good value. Everything positions well and both LEDs work. I think some careful bending will align the lights. As with at least one other reviewer I found that the plastic magnifying visor hits my forehead and prevents the visor from positioning properly. I'm going to try to trim it with my Dremel. If that works I may bump the rating up a little. If not I bump it down. We'll see.Customer Review: "A New Pair of Glasses"

This optical hood is well-made and very functional, and a sensational bargain. I have an old fixed 3x hood that cost 3 - 4 times as much, and doesn't have anywhere near the functionality of this one. The only issue I had was that I had to adjust the light pattern by manually bending the stiff LED conductors, which was no big deal. It would be nice if there was a manual provision for adjusting light pattern externally as a part of the design.Customer Review: Value .. Yes! Durable .. No!

This was a good value for the price. The magnification choices are a plus. So far I have not had problem with the small loupe being loose. However, The battery compartment door catches are very tiny and will break easily if you are not careful. Also the batteries do not sit snugly in place. The LED lights are a little off center but that can ce carefully fixed. Overall I would recommend for short periods of use.Customer Review: Lighted magnifier OK

Bought magnifier to work on small electronics. Plastic headstrap-with velcro closure-is a little uncomfortable. I can only use one magnification, or it is too blurred. To use more than the first magnifier, I have to have item too close to my face and then the lights are no longer of use.
However, I have used them to removed slivers in my hands(on the lowest magnifier) and that's worked well.

Magnification works great, especially for the soldering I was doing on pcbs.
As others have said, the lens assembly tends to fall down when raised up, there is no option to tighten the hinges, they are rivets.
The lights sometimes hit what I' working on.
They might be a bit heavy for some people.
Good product for the price.
