This product is great. My dad uses it to cure pork meat and then sell by the pound. It's a great flavor! He's from South America so I imgagine the dish is from there. This salt is used to cure meat for at least 36 days, then you boil the meat 1/2 way, throw out the water then add more water, adding potatoes, yucca, plantanos and with a side of white rice and cabbage salad. It's a great dish called Carne Cerrana. Salt Petre is great!
