Customer Review: Excellent product for sensitive skin and HD washing machines

I have very sensitive skin and can only use detergents that are totally free of all perfumes and dyes. I have been using this product for over two years, and it has been wonderful and I have not been allergic at all. I like that this detergent is better for the earth, my clothes and my body than the commercial stuff that is not eco-friendly. Seventh Generation has a lot of great products, but this is by far my favorite. I also like that this detergent is good to use in HD washing machines. It is 2x concentrated so you only need to use a tiny bit (about half a capful) for a full load. I will keep buying this detergent probably forever - that is how much I like it!Customer Review: It's like not using anything - waste of money

I purchased a bottle of this at target recently and used it with m LG HE washer. The first few times, my clothes came out smelling like a mix of herbs and stank BO. Our family's gym clothes just smelled like we threw our clothes in a load of sweat. It failed in removing moderate stains. I think the light soiling that seemed clean after the wash was just so because it was soaked in water. Even with all that, we still used the entire bottle just to make sure we were being fair. It sucks. I do love their diapers, but they need to step it up with the detergent. Buy Baby All, Tide, anything other than this. Really. In our MommyReview household we have a HE (high-efficiency) washing machine. HE machines usually require 1/3 of what a standard machine uses in detergent. It is important to not over-soap your loads of laundry. Seventh Generation using plant-derived agents and enzymes for cleaning power that is safer for our environment both in-home and out. In our household, we try to use products that are good for the earth as much as we can. With the amount of laundry we do, it made sense to think about a way to reduce the pollution we add to the water. Cost-wise, Seventh Generation products are more expensive than other laundry detergents, but they are the only one that can stand up to their claim of being earth friendly. Along with being highly concentrated, they don't use dye or perfumes, and it's really an excellent product. It works well, too. Seventh Generation products are outstanding!!! They do exactly what they are advertized to do AND they are environmentally friendly. The Free and Clear products are scent free as well. Just can't ask for more than that, but Amazon gives it to you anyways. Discounts and free shipping right to my door, when you subscribe to this item. It costs more for me to drive to the local market and buy ths product than to have Amazon deliver it. I'm one totally satisfied customer!
