Personaly I love this product. I think alot of the issues that people are having could be related to the type of dishwasher they're using. No matter if I use the powder or the gel I've never had a problem getting my dishes clean. Also, I don't notice a film or residue left behind... I'm sure that all detergents leave a trace of something on the surface, personaly, I'd rather it came from a less toxic source than the mainstream brands!Customer Review: A BIG Dissapointment

I, also, have switched all of my cleaning products over to eco-friendly brands and have been pleased with everything except Seventh Generation Dishwasher gel. My high-end flatware is so dull & gray it looks like tin camping gear and the inside of the dishwasher is terribly stained. I hate to go back to a name brand but this stuff just doesn't work. I cancelled my subsribe and save but am now stuck with half a case!

I use and like many of Seventh Generation's products, and find most to be just as effective as the non-eco-friendly alternatives. This one, unfortunately, does not measure up. Bottom line, it does not get the dishes clean. Every load I've run with this stuff ends up with quite a bit of food residue on it. The only way to avoid it is to actually wash the dishes beforehand, which obviates the need for a dishwasher.Customer Review: Seventh Generation Automatic Dish Gel

I am very happy with this product. I read several reviews that said it leaves a film on glass and I haven't found that to be the case. I deliberately left salad and pizza plates out overnight so the food would really harden and they all came sparkling clean! We are in the process of switching our entire household to environmentally friendly products so I'm glad I found Seventh Generation.Customer Review: Works great!

Tried this product after Mrs. Meyers stopped making their liquid dishwasher soap. Seventh Generation products works great in our busy household. Even when dishes are not done immediately this product does a satisfactory job of getting things clean. I won't go so far as to say it will get everything off of every dish but it certainly works as good or better than most similar products.
