I am very delighted about this purchase.
The product works pretty well with my dishes and cups, sometimes even the greasy ones. The best part is the product never leaves unpleasant odor or residue, but only freshness and clean.
I usually purchase this detergent from local whole foods store, where the listed price is more expensive for one pack than here. Amazon offers a really nice price, so does the delivery service!

I tried and really liked other Seventh Generation products, but this was just terrible. Yes, I have hard water. I filled both cups like the instructions said to do with hard water and also used a rinse aid (instructions recommended for hard water) but it left white scum all over everything! I was very disappointed. I wanted to use something eco friendly, but at this rate I'll be using my electrosol again.Customer Review: Works well for me: Minneapolis city water

The large pack of 7th Gen. dishwashing detergent lasts quite a while for me. Works fine in my dishwasher using city water.
The only products I can compare it to are Cascade, which seems to leave more spots, and the Costco detergent, which does exactly the same as this one. I'll leave it to others to debate the environmental impacts of different dishwasher powders, but this one works fine for me.

The first ten times, there was a little soap scum left on dishes. But for some reason, around the eleventh time, the product left a massive amount of soap scum all over our dishes and the dishwasher interior. Now we have a big clean up project to do. We have hard water but also use salts which is supposed to make the water soft. A dear friend used their dishwashing liquid as a hand soap at kitchen sink. While helping her clean one day I commented on how gentle it worked. She laughed and said it was for dishwashing but worked as hand soap for her. Since then I've bought most of their products and use them daily. I love the quality and with a skin condition I find these products never bother me at all. They're wonderful.
