Customer Reviews of Seventh Generation Baby Wipes Refills, Chlorine Free and Unscented, 70-Count Packs (Pack of 12) (840 Wipes)

Customer Review: Never switching!
Summary: 5 Stars

Before the influx of all the eco-friendly products such as 7th Gen in the market, I used Pampers and Huggies wipes for my 2 older kids (now 11 and 4). It was only when my 3rd child was born (now 11 months) that I switched to eco-friendly products. 7th Gen wipes are the best!!! The smell is something you get used to, especially after using heavily scented wipes. There are a lot of things about the wipes that some people may consider undesirable; being unscented, substantially thinner than other wipes, considerably smaller in size, and more costly. These things might be enough to turn off people. But try using it on your baby's bottom! It doesn't leave that sticky feeling on the bottom and heavy scents and perfumes. Whenever I wipe my baby's bottom with this, I feel it's cleaner---and I've done Mother Earth some good. It's absolutely worth it!

Customer Review: Good wipes you can easily tear in half
Summary: 4 Stars

After trying several types of wipes, I definitely prefer these over mosst. These wipes are not "paper" like most others. They are actually made from cloth-like fibers.

We have actually found that they tear in half very easily and neatly. You can save yourself some money buy using half a wipe for when baby is just wet. I have also machine washed these wipes (after using for a WET diaper only), and they make it through the wash. I then use my own wipe solution and use them for traveling (put with the solution in a zip lock bag).

They are pretty moist from the start of a package to the end. My daughter's bottom was never irritated from these wipes.

They are a decent value, but not worth 5 stars, perhaps if they were just a little less expensive I'd give them 5.

Customer Review: Not the best choice
Summary: 3 Stars

I love many of the seventh generation products, but this is not one of them. The wipes are small and they do not contain enough liquid. I end up using two of these wipe when I use only one Pampers Sensitive wipe. Neither wipe irritates my baby's sensitive skin.

I always try to make the most eco-friendly choice when I can, but my "refills" all came in hard plastic boxes. I think any benefit from the less harsh chemicals and manufacturing method was overshadowed by the extra packaging I had to throw away. (Our local facility only recycles #1 and #2 plastics.)

Since I use two of these wipes instead of one Pampers, they end up being almost 4x more expensive than the alternative. I have since switched to Pampers Sensitive and I will not be purchasing this baby wipe again.

Customer Review: Don't hesitate to purchase this item!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am on baby number 3 (now 2 years old) and this is the first child with which I have used eco-friendly products. So I have experienced all the Pampers, Huggies, etc. This is the only line that I have consistantly recommended. I use the diapers as well and...well...for the first time, I almost NEVER have to use diaper creams! They say it is from the removal of the chemicals. I don't care. I just love my daughter not having to be slathered in white cream all the time. As far as the wipe, they are moist enough to clean stuck on "stuff" and thick enough to keep your hands clean in the process. They are not as luxurious as some of the other brands but they work and work well. Heaven knows my daughter has never complained! I HIGHLY recommend both these wipes and the diaper line.

Customer Review: better product for a little more money
Summary: 5 Stars

I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised by these wipes! With a new baby in the house, we went thru several brands of sensitive wipes (Pampers, Huggies, Target generic and Kirtlands). I found these wipes to be stronger and hold their moisture better than any of the other brands we tried. Overall they are a better performing product than any of the other wipes.

My only comment is that buyers should not expect the wipes to be as strong as wipes made for older babies or toddler. However, we like them so much we have started using them on our toddler. Though it is a matter of personal opinion (and after becoming more educated on the topic) we feel that the lack of fragrance, synthetic ingredients and a lower impact on the environment is worth the switch.
